  • hahahahahaha! i just favored this. 1:14 i lost it. LMAO

  • I would watch that movie

  • did you use the auto setting, or set everything by yourself? when i shoot in low light i got some noise, is there anyway or best setup you offer me to ride this noise, i will be grateful ^^.

btw , i bought this camera because this clip... can you do more clip so i know more of it's secret power ... thx mate

  • what software was used here?

  • If anyone watching this is considering buying the HMC150 ;

first look at one of the M4/3 cameras for same (or better) quality on the cheap...

more compact plus they give great stills.

(They produce great Depth of field focus ....very hard to accomplish with any camcorde.).

  • WOW! How did you get that amazing look on the footage?

  • i like everything but the guys face

  • I like everything but the text at the end.

  • lol, it seems like he was at sniping range yet he shot the presedent with a buckshot:P

  • so....is the short film ready yet?

  • I got a question. do you need to be a pro to use this camera or can you record with it and have a pro edit it for a movie?

  • @TheShootTruth10

Not it's pretty user friendly. At least I think anyway. But the footage is very pro quality. Pro's do use this camera.

  • It's pretty user friendly*

  • Good grading, and a good idea for a short fill, even though it was only a trailer. Well done.

  • This video is awesome, I didn't know the HMC 150 could look like that. Did you use any plugin?

  • wow... that was really good! Any color correction??

    Or editing durng the final??

    Any kind of special lenses??

    Great stuff!

  • DUDE! AWESOME!!! This is AMAZING!!! can't wait to get this kind of footage with my 150!!!

  • I just bought the HMC150. curious as to how you got such a crisp image. What settings? I shoot most of my stuff in 1080 24p.

  • Nice job with the video and foley work. I followed your link from craigslist while looking for local video stuff for sale. I've had a HMC150 for over a year now. Nice cam for the price.

Again, nice piece of work man.

    TH

  • this camera, fx7, jvc hm100u or hmc40 what would you get?

  • Dude would not shoot while chewing. I hate that greenish florescent lighting look.

    Otherwise, pretty cool.

  • i would really like to see the actual movie !!!!!!!

  • @DFMerlino Me too, to see the diferences before the aftereffects editing (im not saying u edited in aftereffects software) just an expression :)

  • Simply amazing!!!

  • i want to know how he got bloody.

  • This is really cool! My only complaint is that the gun was not represented in a realistic fashion. it was hard for me to suspend my disbelief when he fired three shots in rapid succession from a lever action rifle. Cycling the action of a lever rifle takes a moment, generally no where near as fast as we hear in the film. The only reason I mention this is because I think the work you did here is excellent.

  • fav video by far, but i was wondering im thinking about spending evry dime i have on a panasonic ag hmc150, and i was wondering if thats really what u used for this video? and if so how did you get it to look so cinematic?

  • How could anyone "dislike" this? I would bet most of the dislikers have no projects to display.

  • doesn't look like a film, you darkened and saturated the footage too much.

    Anyways nice editing

  • Wow, look at 0:53 !

You know it must be chaos in America when they're sending police all the way from GREECE!

    :-p

  • haha awesome video!

  • This is really good :) I only got the hmc40 :( haha

  • This looks super awesome. Would you mind listing all the settings you used in your Scene File in order to achieve this effect? I've tried tweaking it numerous times and just can't get it quite right. Thanks.

  • @lazlochatter Apparently, they won't do that, because they haven't responded to anyone on here, LOL

  • @Parrott65

Yeah, that kind of stinks. There are like, three "stock film-look" settings on the HMC150, and none of them have achieved anything close to this result for me, so I'm kind of scratching my head here. Oh well.

  • looks fantastic man.

  • How did you go about getting this kind of color? It looks nice.

  • great!!

  • there wasnt any dept of F in this. looked like a camcoder with a wide lens. shaking at the start is one of those issues of hd...it doesnt like moving . this video turns me of the product which is unfair as you are just making a vid abt it. thanks for your efforts.

  • @dermotheaney You know as much about film cameras as you do spelling. "HD doesn't like moving??" Tell every production studio in Hollywood that...

  • WHAT PROGRAM DID YOU USED TO EDIT THE VID?

  • Hi. How did you make the Hawthorne House Pictures logo?

  • Hey, very nice footage. It looks just like a movie in theaters!!! great work.

Can you give me details as to how exactly you achieved this look? Email me to mohan_kote@yahoo.com What exactly did you use and do in post-production and what kind of setting on the camera and what kind of lighting?

If it will be too describe to give all the details in the mail, atleast guide me to where i can find some study material about getting this quality video. Appreciate the help. Thanks.

  • i would appreciate it SOOOOO much!

  • can you give me details as to how exactly you achieved this look? Email me to PantherSkyProductions@yahoo.com What exactly did you use and do in post-production and what kind of setting on the camera and what kind of lighting?

  • nice

  • VERY Professional look to the film, but the title looked kinda amatuer. 5 Stars!

  • Looks very good!!! did you use a kino flo to make it look like that, because mine has never looked that good. Did you shoot in 720/24p?

  • Ha ha! Ridiculous.

  • did u do color correction?

  • howd you get the orange flare?

  • @JSAR1N i have seen it in many videos but still dont know!

i want to find it though

  • I laughed my fucking ass off @ "sixteen hundred hours i shot and killed the president of the united states.... and in 100 hours I am going to kill EVERYONE ELSE"

  • the gun sound wasnt too great :) but great video anyway.

  • EATING A SANDWICH!!! Oh, I mean he killed the President. That's scary.

  • what was the scene file settings for this?

  • awesome video but the sound is lacking

  • Very good job sir! You just made a sell on the HMC150...

  • epic

  • Very well done

  • how much does this camcorder cost guys?

  • Dude thats pro

  • great but it dosent seem that filmic, maybe add a tiny bit of blur + grain

  • dude, where can i get a hold of a pair of the frame glasses model that you have?or what's the mode this guy is wearingl, something i don't know , i await your reply. Thanks ( nice fake trailer btw)

  • DAMN!.. this looks bad ass.. I wish It was a real movie

  • lol christmas release hey man i need this camera so bad how much did you drop for it?

  • awesome sound fx and music

  • Frame rate looks higher than 24. I may be wrong, but it just looks off a bit.

  • YOU RACIST FUCK!!!!!!!

  • really nice

  • its been 100 hours...........

  • how do you get the effect 0:55

  • its called a film burn. theyre extremely difficult and conveluted to make urself. but u can buy/DL and crop em from artbeats. just google free film burn or film burn downloads.

  • @RLfilmz I found hundreds on a website for free, with a few in HD. If I find it ill link you.

  • this is great ,an... got any tips? know of any good cheaper cameras? this ones my dream but not quite in the right price range

  • love your work!!!

  • what did you do or use to get that film look.....

  • always love the assassin eating scenes! Nice work buddy!

  • Damn this video makes me want the HMC150 real bad! I think its only $3000 now

  • BEAUTIFUL shots. and Great quality. Altho, it could have more of a "film look". Still, AMAZING. How much was the camera?

  • Dude, you got talent. Lookout for the secret service through!

  • Very nice! I'm still learning how to use my HMC-150 Nice to see footage that's well shot. How did you do the TV static?

  • did u use any adaptors?? such as redrock

  • Nope. Just the stock lens. :) Would love to use an adapter. Too spendy though. I'd rather wait until they start making HD cams more like SRL's that shoot video.

  • reply to your last comment, not sure what you ment but... DSLR's .... that shoot video like the 7D will not be as capable and as functional or optional as your camera or other higher end HD ENG cameras, they will just have good HD quality and the already 35mm lens for the camera... that's it.

but wanted to know if you used any magic bullet color coding or if manually color coded the video yourself

  • @xvander01 Canon 7D shoots amazing 24p 1920x1080 and it's a DSLR

  • @casey1234schoch

At a max record time of 12 minutes, and horrible, horrible audio options. I'll take my HMC150, thanks.

  • @lazlochatter I dont have anything against the hmc150, I just used it on my film that's comin out on jan 1st

  • @xvander01 oh, hello canon 5d 10 months later :P

  • SLR's*

  • They have already, Red's Scarlet coming this year. You're in luck!

  • @TheWarRoomInc was supposed to be out LAST year in the BEGINNING. so disappointing.

  • @xvander01 check out the canon 7d :)

  • Dope trailer! Looks tight. The only con would be the text. It was not at the same level of the quality of the video. Otherwise, good stuff.

  • hey this is really cool!

but have you used the sony hdr fx 1000??

cuz i love making films and wondering to get that

    or this hmc150

  • Fabulous guys, this looks fantastic. Well good to see this video and owning that camera as well. Makes me feel wonderful lol, thanks a million, and keep it going.

  • Wow! That looked absolutely great! It's amazing what talented people can do with cameras these days. I think I'll look into getting the HMC150 for my videos/films. Did you use any specific lenses as well, or just the standard lens?

  • Awesome!

  • dude awesome video! i just sent it into the fbi and interpol for threatening to do such an act so expect a knock on your door in about 3-10

  • Haha thanks. I hope you're just kidding tho cause its a joke dude. Geez read the info in the side bar.

  • its all a joke, its the internet!

  • i have the ag hmc 150 and fcp any help with getting that same color correction look its amazing

  • True, font was less than amazing however great idea and well done. HMC150 is the best bang for the buck in indy film making!

  • The Message scene of the camera was great but it was too clear to look like it was a broadcast i recommend you add some small pixelation and grain noise the moving bar thing( i forgot what it was called) is abit fake like you should consider removing it. I'm not a critic ive done this before but in all everything was 5/5

  • "Christmas 2009" - lol. What a nice holiday treat for the whole family! Hah!

  • This was high quality, except for the blue font lol

And what editing program do you use?

  • everything was good but the font failed big time =)

  • How did you do that effect when hes sitting there with blood on his face? Was this done in after effects? If it as stock any where you could point me in buying it? Iv been needing this effect for one of my horror films

  • @shadowknight321 Vegas.

  • how did you do 0:50-1:01?

and did u edit this in vegas?

  • moving over stills layered with moving text and film stock footage

  • Did you do the film look with an HMC150 scene file, or was it all done in post. If it's a scene file, could you post the settings?

    Cool trailer, BTW.

  • its the stock scene file. cine v or something like that. But color correction was done in post as well.

  • PLEASEEE! Make this into a real movie! I love the colors ! and the whole concept is awesommme!

  • Assuming you used Magic Bullet on this. Which setting did you use? I like the use of the high speed shutter as well.

  • This was literally great man. GREAT!

  • very well shot, you could have fooled me into thinking it was really coming to theatres...just dont use a BB gun next time...haha

all in all awesome music and shots.

  • Great, but two things was strange. The too dramatic music at the beginning, and the fact that the hero is using a lipstick.

  • haha it's not lipstick it's blood. The actor put stage blood in his mouth and he shouldn't have. Looks kinda like lipstick tho.

As far as the music goes. I like it. Don't think it's too dramatic.

  • Yeah, I understand. You are very talented both. You should work in the industry. I liked the picure angles, as well the edit work, and the right cuts. What program was used here, beside the Cinelook filters and magic bullet? Sony Vegas? Thanks.

  • yep sony vegas is currently my program of choice! I do were in premiere and final cut as well.

  • i thought your vid looked excellant mate, you done a great job!

    cheers,

    scott

  • OK! I have this camera but the 24p looks fake! whats going on! why yours looks so film like!??

My video looks like its strobing with double images.. blur.. I hate fake 24p

Can you explain what did you do to the camera, are u' using a lotus, etc..

I have tried all the 24p setting 1080/24p 720/24p.. Just does not look film like your video..!! Maybe is the software I'm using that it is introducing blur..

    I have vegas pro 9

  • I talking about the frame rate ! not the filters.. My videos have too much blur that looks like its slowmotion specially when panning.. The film speed I want Looks very fake at 24p..

  • Be glad to help. Can you upload some footage for me to see and example of it?

I am not using a letus. Does the 24p look faky on the camera or after you export it in editing? which? What is the frame rate you have selected for the project? is it a 24p timeline?

  • they were coming fake after rendering.. I found the problem.. my project was set to the same properties of the video but the HD MP4 on Vegas is only 25p and that makes some horrible double images and kills the film frame rate that I wanted.

I will upload an example of a bad render.. Here is a better render using the 23.9 3-2 pulldown. "AG-HMC 150 1080p 24fps 3 2 pulldown HD " on my channel..

    Thanx

  • I have a simple answer to your question. You must set your shutter speed at 1/48 for it to be the most compatible blur effect with 24p

  • thanx! but the blur of the actual object in motion is not my problem but the echo created when rendering with a mismatch setup on the editor and the video itself..

EX: I had a 24p video been render in a

25p preset of vegas and I was not paying attention to that.. when I moved the video frame by frame, I could see the natural blur of the object in motion and a ghost right behind it (Double Image). That was driving me MAD. I got the problem under control now. Now my pans are crisp.

  • Nice Job my friend! , especially the editing.

which software did u use ?

    keep working!

  • Sony Vegas 8. My all time favorite.

  • Hi, first of all ...great teaser :)

I read only Sony Vegas 9 supports HMC150 raw file.

if yes, which soft did u use to convert these files? thanks

  • the best

  • kewl!!

  • that was pretty sweet, but to be honest, I would have played with angles a bit more in the first part. Otherwise, great! Keep this kind of thing up.

  • yeah, I seriously put no effort into this. haha

  • Huh, in that case, can't wait to see something that you actually tried on, lol.

So are you happy with this camera? I'm looking into getting a new one, and this one is kind of on the list, it's just 4 times more expensive than I'd like to spend, haha.

  • DUDE! amazing!

how did u do the tv effects and what did u use to edit????

u used magic bullet looks for the effects?

  • HOLY CRAP! That was freakin AMAZING!

    Very well done!

I love the Magic Bullet effects! Everything about it was great... oh, except for the ending test, looked cheap, but you did warn us... :)
