Lynda Barry is amazing, when I think of reading her comix, I am transported back to the 5th grade, picking up her strip inside one of the free newspapers at the MacArthur BART station and reading it while riding the #14 bus home.
Then I can't help but remember not really understanding the Life In Hell srip, but still reading it every time.
I LOVE Lynda Barry! I sent her a letter asking her to adopt me because she is so freaking cool but she said she could not. She sent me a post card though.
gosh I love Lynda sooo much! my favorite comic of hers is about the vynil doll that you could feed water and it pees, but the girls feel sorry for it and feed her milk, which, after left in the sun for about an hour starts to kurdle and then nobody wants to go near the doll, besides the parts about penmarks on the mouth because the doll smoked " tipareillos" which were actually ballpoint pen. ; /
