When i looked it back when i was around 13,14 and i saw for the first time this video i new it right away that i'm gonna listhen to death metal, grow long hair, wear leather jacket and nose earrings. And i did. Nowdays i have tattooed the Dismember logo on my back to keep them with me forever. Thank you so much Dismember. You'll be missed deeply!!!

reminds of the old days, 15-17 yrs ago. i've been on vaccation in london 2 months ago and it reminded me that in the old days, whenever i would go abroad to a big city, part of the hang out would be to get lost for a few hours in huge music shops, looking mostly for metal. my first dismember cd, i bought in amsterdam 16 yrs ago in a very cool shop near damrack (haven't been there 14 yrs, i hope i'm correct), called BOUDISQUE. i still have those cds from that great shop.

Todays newer death metal by and large{not completely} sucks in comparisons with the gods of old like Dismember.

The amazing thing about Dismember is that they are brutal as Hell yet they still incorporate classical influenced solos/leads. There are too many modern death metal bands that aspire for simple brutality and forget the art of the solo.

0:53 to 1:34 is my favourite combination of audio and video: the footage isn't even that great, it's so simple but it just goes amazingly well with that intro solo to give it that special atmosphere. Not that the whole song isn't one of the best extreme metal songs ever...

Dismember has always been my fave of the Swedish death metal bands...heavier, nastier (definately nastier), and more consistent than Grave, Entombed or any of those others. Matti Karki's vocals just fucking floor me every time.
