  • Did you go for a 70's porn star look? That'd be awesome. I'm glad you are happy the way you are. Also, if the bottom of the chin hasn't grown in yet, don't worry I still don't have that patch growing in and I have been growing out my facial hair since I was 14. 5 years of it growing and I still don't have it. I'm glad the patches missing on your facial hair annoys you, I don't feel alone now. I am and always been a male, but still. Take care!

  • eating nuts and almonds are a natural way to increase testosterone.. So is that a good idea at the age for 19??

  • guys it has nothign to do with hormones , hahaha well not entirely.

you gotta start shaving the whole lumber jack style with a razor from young young age, shoiuld be doing it at 10 years of age. i never did, started at 14 and regret that late move. gotta shave young and shave every day. then if you notice patches n stuff, get rid of patchy area's every day and let the rest grow thats not patchy, until the patchy areas pick up. took me until now - 27 , and 3 months to realise this technique.

  • @jonnijames Not true at all budy thats a myth shaving has nothing to do with it. You shouldn't shave at age 10 are you a dumbass?

  • I had a Fu man chu when I was 14 to about 16 and then I tried growing a chin strap but it was patchy in a form of a triangle from my chin to my side burns -.-

  • I'm 19 and only grow facial hair on my chin, upper lip and a little soul patch. I have very weak facial hair growth on my neck and super-weak growth on my sideburns . I also have no facial hair growth on my cheeks at all. Does anyone know what i can do to promote facial hair growth so i can grow a full beard? is there anything i can do?

  • @McBane10 nothing. people say testosterone but to be brutally frank, its in your genes. theres nothing you can do. the only worthwhile tip is to finely shave the bare areas as these will still contain follicles, but are fine. you can continually shave your cheeks, throat for weeks / months in an attempt to thicken it. it is there, but it is too fine to see. other than that your fucked. women will dump you and if you cant grow one by 20 you probably never will. sorry.

  • @rightfredsdead Dude your beard can stop growing anywhere from the age of 21 and up do your research

  • @rightfredsdead And if you have a low level of testosterone that can affect facial hair growth.

  • @IsHiNe98 doesnt make any difference. you can have incredibly HIGH levels of testosterone and still have no beard growth. its a myth. its a gene problem with the hair. even the barren bits have hair, but its still covered in hair. its just fine. your wasting your time looking for testosterone to help you. at some point you have to accept you wont grow a beard. most chinese dont. you probably have some form of this in your family history.

  • @rightfredsdead Bro.. lmao im hispanic.. cuban and puerto rican. have some black in me too and im only 18 gonna turn 19 in about 6 days i have enough time. Im also a late bloomer.. I can grow a goatee lock it connect my sideburns but everytime i go and get a haircut i notice that i have more and more little hairs growing from my cheeks.

  • I'm 24 n my beard grows in like a goaty, which I hate, 'cause I want a lumber jack beard!!

  • I grew my first beard at age 16. Everyone's different I guess

  • @sitobazito well, considering i didn't start testosterone until i was 21, there was no way for that to happen at that age for me. haha.

  • Bleh! I'm 23 and all I can grow in a mustache n a lil bit of chin hair D:< U lucky sob :P

  • @DrJohnsonMD Is* /facepalm

  • Im a guy in my 20's and i dont have any facial hair! lol. I might do a cycle of testosterone for a few months. Maybe im lacking Testosterone? Someone told me that its just genetics and not to worry, but then FTM's always seem to get body and facial hair when on T.

  • @kellyfortune it could be genetics, or you could be low on your testosterone. it's worth going to a doctor to get your testosterone levels checked to see if your levels are low.

a lot of guys need a little "boost" to help them in the facial hair dept, don't worry.

  • @kellyfortune ive the exact same problem but ive really hairy lower body legs balls etc did you ever take T in the end? i'm gonna buy some andriol testocaps and try it for a few months i kinda worry about hair loss tho cos i love my hair AAAAHHHH

  • @connaught15 Hi. No, I am yet to address the issue. i'd really like to run a course of testosterone cypionate or something, but i'd need to be sure that I got my hands on the proper stuff and not some fake gear, and u also need to take other things so that your bodies natural production doesn't completely shut off leaving you worse off than before! hair loss is also a concern as you say. I like my hair too! :). I have hairy legs/balls etc, but no facial hair and very little underarm hair.

  • @kellyfortune im just gonna go for it i doubt it wouold affect ur natural production i was just gonna take a fairly low dose cos we obviously have testosterone and maybe i just need a wee extra boost cos i have facial hair but its patchy, the FTM community isnt particularly helpful i must have asked 10 about testosoterone and not one replied

  • i have liek no hair under my chin its reall weird and it wont grow i want the full 5 clok shadow beard

  • I have the same bare spot under my chin 2yrs on T.

  • You used to be a chick??? Fuck sake how the fuck can you grow more facial hair than me. Also fair play for making the change, i'd say it takes some amount of balls (pun intended)

  • haha, yes. as weird as that is for me to think about.

it's all in the genetics, my man. there are plentry of trans (and non trans) men with way more facial hair than i'll ever have, and then there are dudes who don't really grow anything at all.

  • Don't be discouraged even in xy males hair growth can be this way, everybody is different.

  • so true.

  • You look like a sane version of coughlan666 with the facial hair.

    :)

  • The Goatee + Mustache Combo (where both connect) is called a Van Dyke (beard).

  • that's right. thanks for the head's up.

  • great vid!

  • thanks!

  • Thanks for answering my question man.

  • Thanks for including the after shots at the end, looks great! That wind must be cold on your face now. Is that a Dodgers hat? Can you DO that in SF?! Sandoval's gonna thump you!

  • you'd be surprised at the amount of dodger hats in this city!

  • <--First time viewer, but my beard is going through the same thing. The mustache connects on the right, but not left (even being born male), it's just how your follicles work. One thing I do for facial hairs that don't grow at the same rate is use a beard trimmer at a specific clip for a while and let them all grow to the same length, then use a higher clip (etc).

As far as places that aren't putting out, just give it time. :)

  • Man, i cant believe how long your hair is, awesome! thanks for the name of the yahoo groups too.

btw. my facial hair is growin EVERYWHERE except my top lip... but, hopefully in time it will kick-in on that top lip, lol... "go hair"!

  • CHIN BEARD!!!!!!!

  • I know a bio guy with the same thing on your chin

  • Hey man I think you looked younger with the facial hair.....But then again I am so use to you with some facial hair.

  • good point about the messages containing basic questions, i get that a lot

  • Charlie: I have several areas on my body where the hair growth is atypical. It turns out that all of these areas are old skin patches where the original skin was used when I was an infant to correct Intersex conditions. That is unlikely to be the case on your face, but the neck, back, and legs are favorite donar sites. Older TSs often mistake a couple of patches on my arms with the old way phallos were performed. Lloyd

  • Look young? You're only 25! Geez, now I feel old.

  • Exactly, right? 25 is totally young. :)

  • That's way normal for G-guys. Alot of my friends have said their beards are sparse and/or patchy. I think that's why more guys don't ever grow mustaches or beards... they try and it looks bad.

  • Looks good to me. You are way too hard on yourself. :)

  • more hair than i ever grew lol thank god lol

  • Hey Charles, I am on T for 1,5 years now and I have almost no facial hair.

  • Hey Charles. I've been on T almost 11 years now and the left side of my moustache STILL doesn't fully connect to my lower goatee. I just usually grow the moustache part pretty long on the edges and let it look as if it connects. I've got a bit of American Indian in me, though and I think that I'm lucky to be able to grow facial hair at all.

  • I've also had a pretty prominent Adam's Apple (like bio-guy worthy) since the middle of 8th grade, so much so that my voice actually dropped for a week. It's still noticeable and I get comments on it every once in a while as well. I'm pre-T and everything but could this possibly be a genetic thing? I've noticed my female cousin and sister also have slightly noticeable ones. Also, who could forget Ann Coulter's Adam's Apple LOL.

  • I have major peach fuzz and I haven't even started T yet, it's ridiculous.

That's awesome you got to transition with a friend though.
