  • Fully agree with scrawford7169

  • Although generally a supporter of Phil and Reset SF, I really don't like this. It plays on pure emotion--great political spot, but no facts. The city doesn't randomly target people for towing. Generally they've parked in a well-marked and dangerous place OR they've accumulated boatloads of parking tickets. You get towed if you're irresponsible. And yes, I've been towed and I can say it was my own fault.

It doesn't matter if you're on welfare or a cancer patient. Park legally.

  • the stories are heartfelt however what are the circumstances that lead to the impound of their car?

  • Wow. You can hear stories and read articles about this issue all day, but until you hear it from the mouths of folks actually experiencing it, you really can't grasp it. It just seems so unequivocally un-San Franciscan to charge these fees. These are working people trying to get by and instead of encouraging them and rewarding them and helping them, we are transferring our burden onto them. This is a real, no-BS shame to see in a supposedly progressive haven like SF.
