I didn't admit anything, what I'm doing is seeing how this man died, not because its a big crash with 3 bikes involved and its exciting (which it wasn't if you were watching it live or even now). This sport is fucking pathetic from a medical perspective. A rider could have his head twisted around 5 times and those dumb fucks would pick him up and throw him on a stretcher.

@illicitstill This needs to be addressed, I was stunned at how long it took before anyone who knew what they were doing arrived to assist Marco Simoncelli after his crash. Now I find out they dropped him from the stretcher. Now it probably made no difference in the Simoncelli case but one day it will cost someone their life. As I said, it really needs to be addressed. In this clip the marshals look like chooks running around with their heads cut off.

@hirdy6 the marshalls are not medics, they just assist the rider when he falls. they try to do their best to take the rider away from the track in a safezone where he can get medical support from a medic. they put their lives in danger to save the rider.

Unfortunatly Marco died on impact. When the marshales dropped him from the strecher he had already passed away.

@runmvp Firstly the marshals should know basic first aid, don't have to be a medic just know enough to check that the victim is not choking, bleeding to death unnecessarily, or whether to commence CPR immediately, it is safe to do so. Basic first aid teaches you not to put yourself at risk. In Marco's case i realise he died on impact which is why I said in his case it probably made no difference. Still shouldn't have dropped him, that was bloody sloppy.

@runmvp The other thing that I believe is of grave concern is the treatment and movement of victims, the very nature of the accidents leads to high risk of spinal trauma. To pick a victim up like a sack of potatoes and carelessly dump them onto a stretcher is crazy. The slightest wrong move can compound the problem most severely, turn a person into a quadriplegic or even kill them. Again they should be trained in such manoeuvres, I find it stunning that they aren't trained for it.

And Im quite sure that they ask the rider first what part of the body hurts before putting him on the stretcher. But your right. Dorna has to take more precise measures regarding the saftey of the riders

@runmvp Broken bones are actually considered life threatening, fractured bones which can be jagged and very sharp can easily move, sever an artery and the victim can be dead within minutes from internal bleeding. In our footy league if a player requires a stretcher it is mandatory for a cervical collar to be fitted before the patient is moved.This may sound overly cautious and in some cases unnecessary but sensible care takes very little extra time and is a fair trade given the risks eliminated.

You cunts can't just blame the marshals, shoya was unconscious on the side of the track and in danger of being hit by other riders, the marshals chief concern was to get him behind the barriers and to a doctor as quick as possible. The drop had no impact on whether he lived or died and I think its extremely rude to shoyas family how your trying to blame the people who try to help riders voluntarily!!!

The race should have been red flagged without question. The drop doesn't make a difference? You'd be a fool to believe that. He got ran over by two bikes and suffered cranial, spinal and abdominal injuries(a.k.a. all areas that support his brain and body weight). You would think they'd be more careful by now.

From what I understand, Italian law requires that someone be held responsible for a fatal accident, even if it was an accident w/ no fault. If you remember Ayrton Senna's death at the San Marino GP in 1994, Williams F1 was on trial for manslaughter, and the case wasn't absolved until 2005.
