The Dells version was released in '74 but I think this sample is from Billy Davis and Marilyn's version probably recorded a few months a part from each other since they went in the studio in '75 to record while the Dells was still on the charts.

Just some history for you young kats butchering up these songs, if you gonna sample, know something about what you are sampling.

Hi Inger...if you don't have Marilyn and Billy's three duet albums from 1976, 1977, and 1978 you MUST get them...you can get I Hope You Get to Love in Time...the album that THIS song is from on CD...the other two are available on Lp on Amazon and Ebay. ALL three albums are SUPERB!!!
