I LOVE CUED SPEECH I grew up with cued speech no asl...I am learning asl now in high school but if my school had a cued speech I would sooo take it and get better at it. Some people say that cued speech isnt even a language but a lot of people take that offensively if they grew up with it.
Help me... Are you speaking like normal hearing people? So you add the "hand signal" to clarify on what you are saying.. for an example, without hand signal, you can misunderstand between THIRTEEN and THIRTY. So in add to a hand signal, you would be able to identify if whether it is THIRTEEN or THIRTY ??
You're right...Cued Speech isn't a language. Just like writing isn't a language. It's a code used to convey a language visually in real-time. This guy is cueing English, so you are basically comparing ASL to English and saying ASL is better...which is kinda like trying to prove that German is better than French. German is more useful in Germany and French is more useful in France...but it's kind of ridiculous to say that one language is inherently better than another.
Signed language IS better than spoken language if you can't hear! And ASL is far faster, more natural and fluent than SEE (signed exact English), imo. I don't know much about cued speech but it just looks like another form of oralism to me, though admittedly an improvement from feeling the vibrations in your throat and watching your lips move in the mirror.
I'd be interested in what you have to say, but English captions (and/or an ASL interpretation) would be helpful. Your video is only accessible to those who know how to cue....

It would be helpful if you could type out in the description what you are saying here. Unless you meant the video for only people who can use CS...
