These messages are not sent out enough. People need to hear more about abuse. Especially the person being abused. Very often you aren't aware it's abuse. You need someone to "wake you up from it" And, you can overcome it! It takes the right person to support you to get back into the "right world"

I'm so timid now, I don't know how to be myself anymore, he made me scared to be me. I'm getting through it slowly, relearning everything. I'll get there, but it makes me angery. I shouldn't have to need to deal with this. no one ever should.

i love this song but its hard to listen top without crying cause from when i was 6 months to 14 years of age my mom was abused and i had to watch him hurt her for so many years :( untill i got back at the bastard and pulled a knife on him and told him if he didnt get out i was gunna cut him he didnt believe me and he went to go touch my mom again and i sliced his arm open by then the cops showed up and he went to jail hes out now and whenever he sees me he dosnt even look me in the eye im proud
