Hahaha I found your video post (Sci fi at its' infancy... Cool. *shudder* However, I bet some of those scenes were reminiscent of recent global conflict victim's "last moments"... Why can't we all just get along? Sorry for the conflicting thoughts, I came here from "news(dot)discovery(dot)com/space/lovejoy-lives-comet-survives-solar-encounter-111215(dot)html#mkcpgn=rssnws1"
For a made-for-TV movie, they definitely did a great job with the special effects...I always looked forward to seeing this movie when it was broadcast, and I wish that Sony, which owns the Columbia Pictures Television library now, would do a legitimate release of this movie.
I saw this in a replay sometime in the summer of 1979.I thought some of the building models looked like someone was smashing white waffles.Guess this was similar to what happened in TUNGUSKA Siberia in 1909.
wow phoenix has changed alot from 78 to 2011. It has grown alot. And for those people that say that it hasent changed it has mabye not as much as other cities like New york and L.A couse the city instead of focousing in down town its making the streets bigger and eexpanding the city
I almost couldn't tell that was Downtown Phoenix. So much has changed since 1978. Love to see this destruction sequence in 2011. A hundred times the destruction. :)

Anything more you can post from this movie? It's long out of print and almost impossible to find anywhere. Thanks!
