I thought it was great. And if you didn't realise already, they were taking the piss out of the grammy's. They were expected to play a classical song, but they decided to play the loudest most obnoxious song on the album. That was their way of saying, fuck the grammy's. Little did though, they were going to actually win.

the performance at the Grammys was just horrendous.

the song selection, the constantly sparkling, very distracting white lights, the guys on the bikes, the camera angle from the helmet of the BMX guys..

UGH.

But yeah. These guys were rocking and inspiring YEARS before that shit performance, and the very mediocre 'Suburbs' album, so they are forgiven. In the end, EVERYBODY cashes out.

funeral was not threir first album, full length album yes, but not the first release, arcade fire self titled ep was their first release which is also referred to as the us kids now ep when it was originally sold at their live shows, with the original version of no cars go which is also featured on neon bible

they're supposed to release a new album this april or may, i heard. but i also heard there would be a new single early in the year, so i don't know yet. i hope they tour this year though. i want my first legit concert to be arcade fire. :)

I love when will is saying how every 20 years the current youth generation thinks the world is going to end. He's so accurate. people like to think they are the generation that "matters" that's going to make "the difference" but the truth is probably that people alive today are going to be gone in the next couple hundred of years and people are going to be doing the same thing and they won't remember us, just our remnants...
