@LearnThatTheme Don't take my word for it, but it's probably wired so that he can blend both pickups with the knobs. Rolling a pot to 0 would dis activate the correspondent pickup.

@RazorBackShreader It mostly deals with the level of strap adjustment. If you have the strap very tight, like Dave Matthews plays his, the guitar will be in the same position as when you are sitting, and you'll be fine. But if you play with a more standard LOWER strap adjustment, both of your arms will be approaching the guitar at more uncomfortable angles. This leads to extra bending of the wrist on the fretting hand which makes wide stretches and some chords difficult.

I know it's pretty pointless/showy in actuality, but when you're that good I think you can do whatever the hell you want as long as it's listenable! Having said that it's good to learn different techniques but eventually a guitarist must be themselves. Sound is unique for every player - I prefer to not use a pick about 80% of the time. Using fingers and not flat picking is more expressive in my opinion.

Speed kills and sometimes it kills the song.

He doesn't have to evolve or change his styles you fools xD. He's an OUTFUCKINGSTANDING guitarist. In terms of pure technicality, phrasing, intonation, and overall playing GG shits on Mattrach. Mattrach is a great guitarist nonetheless. I do like he can play several instruments and his style is very interesting but there's plenty on musicians who can and do do that. I found something interesting, a lot of people compared GG with Mattrach, and both of them started on youtube kinda similar, they styles were too. Both influenced by Satriani, Vai, etc. But the interesting is (in my opinion) mattrach evolved a lot, creating his own style, and GG still as same he started on youtube.

GG is fucking great guitarrist, but he is like a lot of other guitarrist with the same style, and in my opinion, he hasnt nothing more especial than his fastness, and his techniques. He is just like others. But mattrach shows more than one style, also an original style, and you can see it on Mattrach views ( 78 millon) over GG views (arround 12 million). Today people look for original guitarrist styles.
