@markointhesky No. Only recovery items are Rations, Noodles, and Regain. And of course you can't use the 2 special items which are the bandanna and stealth.

@ExampleZXV No. The only way you can know for sure that an alert has been triggered if it the "Alert 99.99" message shows up.

The beginning is damn hardest part for me cause you can't incapacitate someone from afar yet, so if some dude has noticed you and is walking towards you you're f'ed. Also, why do you hold up people before throwing the down? Like at 6:38.

@ExcalibursinX I believe I used to do that because usually when I am up close to the PMC, I wanna do a throwdown fast so when I am close, by instinct I just run to get to them faster, but when you run you make noise and if you are somewhat slow, the PMC may turn around and an alert may be triggered right before you throwdown. To avoid that I probably figured that if I held them right before a throwdown, I wouldn't have to worry if I made a noise before CQCing them.

@takashi306 Octocamo is a part of Snake's character features so it's like playing Mario Bros. and not being able to crouch.

@Epunk343 Well why should it even matter? I mean it's only seconds to save. Or are you asking this because you sometimes wanna pause so you leave it on the save screen? Well actually when you save and then QUIT, you will appear in the LAST checkpoint so basically, imagine you go to L. Octopus battle, die 6 times, then remember you had to save, so you go save and quit. When you load the file, it will load back to the last CHECKPOINT not your last life, so you are safe and time doesn't count.

@jeanol1 See the part where I get past that area...I believe it's called Millenium Park or something. I think that's part 4 so check it out. It really isn't that hard. If you have the solid eye, which you obviously do have, everything becomes much easier.

Dude, I am fucking pissed! I just cleared act one on the boss extreme and it says I have 1 kill. Bull shit!! I used all non letal, and it was a real bitch to get this far. It fucking sucks. Can anyone tell me how I got a kill with all non lethal weapons before I throw my ps3 through a wall??

@salford08 I've been wanting to re-do it since like so long ago, it's just my capture card is just not working for some reason with the computers it used to work with, so I'm kinda stuck with no capture card at the moment. But I am planning to get a new capture card, and it may be around december or so...if I do get one in my hands I'd be more than happy to re-do the walkthrough once more, and then show you the 40 emblems I got long ago. Of course they will be better in both quality and gameplay

When you have Bandana equipped your ammo for the current weapon (except Solar gun) is infinite. It blocks the BB, Fox, Fox Hound & Hound emblems if you use it. You can get it for free by completing a NO-KILL game, it doesn't have to be in any specific difficulty and you get the pigeon emblem. Same for Stealth, you can get it for free by completing a 0 alert game, same as above no difficulty conditions, and you get Octupus emblem.

You CAN use the Stealth Camo and Bandana on The Boss difficulty, but if you ever use them, even equip them once, you won't get the Big Boss Emblem. You can have them in your inventory and still get the emblem, you just can't ever equip them.

If you pause the game does the time still run? May be a stupid question but when I pause the game to look at your guides the time is still running in the bottom left of the screen.. where you see Sunny in the kitchen cooking the eggs at the pause menu.

On the first section of the game where you get the AK102 before "Act 1" white screen starts, if gekkos spot you, the alert sound will trigger, but it will not count as an alert. An alert counts whenever they spot you and red text saying ALERT displays on the screen.

i think someone did a pretty nice critique on this game, how sometimes a guard sees you like 20 paces away and can't seem to distinguish who it was when it's obvious that you're an intruder. and that whole lying flat on the surface with a octocam, i mean seriously, pattern alone won't fool the volume that a human body presents.

i know i sound bitter, i'm a die hard MGS fan but in this last game, it all came down to over drama to cover up some outlandishly unrealisitc aspects.

Well yea its alot faster imo but you got to play normal or just hard once before you go bbe to know all shortcuts and places where pmc might be and such but in general its kinda fast if you dont spend 30 min on bosses ;P atm i did 10 min each boss need to improve :o

That's weird, maybe you aren't taking the routes I am? I try to show the easiest routes for me. Now if you are trying to say I'm not actually playing on TBE, then FUCK YOU! xD The only way to know is when I have 50 Tranq ammo and reach anest .22 ammo, it won't pick it. That proves it all.
