  • What part of Korea are you in? Seoul?

  • @joejoethemonkey85 I was in Yeoju, South Korea.

  • So happy to see more and more black people visiting and living abroad.

  • @deadcell1 Thanks...me to ;)

  • You are very interesting to listen to. I was already looking for more videos from you before you even finished. I´m teaching English in Colombia.

  • @owensphil Thank you so much :) I would love to go to South America!!! How do you like it?

  • why did u choose to go to korea? x

  • @16beachrose I had a friend who was already there and was having a great experience.

  • Hey. Great vid. Any tips and advice on getting started there would help! Looking at doing so from New Zealand. Thanks

  • @gazza351 Sorry for such a late reply. Research. And, pick up a book of Korean customs at the library. Hope this helps.

  • How safe for a woman to walk at night even in the dark alley , alone.

  • @MrBorehead Thank you :)

  • @MrBorehead i soo agree...her teeth are soo beautiful, Masha Allah (Islamic saying, after giving a physical or emotional compliment to someone, so they won't loose those features or something) :D

  • @shilbe09 Thank you bunches!

  • Hi, when you go back after a year, does the school remember you for when you want to come back again? Or do you have to go through the registration process again, as if it's your first time, does the school continue to pay for your rent and airfare?

  • @naruto753852 If you choose to go back you have a choice to renew your contract with the same school before you leave which makes things a lot easier. If decide to switch schools there may be some extra work on your end to do. Every school is different. Usually if you are coming back to work for the same school they are more gracious when it comes to what they pay.

  • how is the housing

  • @justinfroot Honestly, I really liked my apartment. I am not the type of person who needs a lot of space. I had a studio apartment and it was perfect for just me. It was in a newer building and I would sit in the window and watch the river...which I LOVED!!! I knew other people with bigger places they liked. But, what I had was great :)

  • @MAJORTRANSFORMATION are you steel there???

  • @justinfroot nope. they wanted me to extend my contract but a year there was enough for me :)

  • You're entertaining to listen to!

  • @tengoodreasons Thank you :)

  • Omg, your voice is so smooth and lovely, it's like you're singing while you're talking. ;D

  • @Ratielle Thank you....I appreciate it :)

    E.

  • @wilmre Hi. I have heard of them while I was doing my own research but haven't heard anything beyond that. I went through Adventure Teaching. Thanks for watching and wish you the best :)

  • @MAJORTRANSFORMATION

um, u got nice teeth, cute eyes, sexy husky voice.... but not a type of mine. good day!

  • @MAJORTRANSFORMATION

watch this black girl who might be loved by many Korean guys

    watch?v=cXmXkriLxvc

u'll get some jealousy after watching her video.

  • What a recruiter did you go through, I have applied before but was denied :( so I want to try again through another company maybe. Thx!

  • @pjmich81 I went through Adventure Teaching. Definitely try multiple companies but first make sure you have the general requirements in place. Wish you the best.

  • okay i have a question... do you have to have your bachelor's degree to teach there? because i'm 17 and i want to go there sooner than 4 years :/

  • @andreanicoleshimchic Hello. For most South Korean programs you must have a degree as far as I know. But, you may also be able to go with a teaching certification and/or a ESL certificate. I actually have a recent video regarding this. Hope this helps :)

  • I am planning to teach in Korea but I major anxiety about homesickness. How do you deal with being away from family, friends, home? Also, was your family very supportive of you moving to Korea? How did you break the news?

Love all of your videos, thanks for sharing!

  • @iloveredbull09 Thanks for checking out the vid. If you are worried about being homesick you should definitely check out earlier vids. You will be homesick. But, having Skype and/or Oovoo, and Facebook will definitely keep you well connected. Also, start making friends before you get there and don't stay stuck in the house once you get there. Get out and learn about your new home. At first, my family didn't think I was going to do it...when they realized it was going to happen...

  • @MAJORTRANSFORMATION they supported me. I would suggest breaking the news with as many answers as possible. This means anticipate their questions ahead of time and prepare answers so they know you are going to do it and you know what you are getting into. This provides a little relief on their end. WIsh you the best.

  • omg how do you survive in korea! That's amazing. I'm half korean, i can read korean fluently, speak basic speech, and write a little - but i would die in korea because almost no one can speak english there. I really admire your strength and courage to come to South Korea.

  • @4ever4minute Lol...thank you so much. It was definitely experience but greatly appreciated because I learned so much. I was forced to move out of all comfort zones I had and learn new things. It opened my eyes to a lot of things...it wasn't always easy but definitely worth it :)

  • + lol! re: the info on dating in a 'countrified' town that even some Koreans have never heard of! :oD

  • ((Applause!!) You have me @ the video # 1 video of this Q & A set...good sharing & explanations. Extra thanks for answering the questions about banking! Happy to know it can be easy.

  • Another question: My coteacher is very indirect and is ALWAYS BUSY. I find myself twiddling my thumbs during office hours. During class she leads the lesson and I awkwardly stand to the side. How do I change this? We follow the book and it is SOOO boring. Yikes. I want to contribute MORE.. my coteacher is a perfectionist..she is nice as pie.. but I want more responsibility here. I teacher elementary students..

  • I just watched ALL of your videos. They are intelligent and relateable . god bless. I heard you say that you lived rurally as well. Perfect! Maybe you can share some advice. I love the transport here but it takes HOURS just to get some place. I am 4 hours from Seoul by bus (OUCH!)..i love coffee shops and dont have one in my town.. however I am forever grateful for being here. Korea challenges me everyday and tests my character as a person.

  • @triracer06804 I will be posting a vid to answer your questions by Saturday :)

  • I am living in the Gyeongbuk Province in a rural village called ANGYE. Any advice on rural life.. did you leave your town every weekend? It is a challenge to meet new people here

  • @triracer06804 I will be posting a video to answer your question by Saturday :)

  • Is it true that to teach there you have to have majored or have a bachelors degree in something?

  • @myblackrose24 Yes, as far as I know you are required to have a bachelor's or master's in any field.

  • im happy i found your videos...im planning to teach in SK and i had soo many questions and you covered them in all your videos :)...i would love if you sent me a message about how you went about applying for the jobs

  • @cvkeisa Thanks! Check out the videos I will post at the end of the week :)

  • OMG, I'm happy I found you. I've been looking for these type of videos, I found a few good ones. I really like your videos(: Thanks for taking the time to answer questions and making these videos. I appreciate it! And your teeth are gorgeous!

  • I am glad there is more videos like this

  • @prissy232 Thank you and let me know if I have any questions I can answer for you.

  • HI, this is my first time watching your videos and I would have to say that you are very informative. I am planning to teach english in Korea after I am finish with college. I know you said you went through adventure teaching. Im going to look into that but I am also looking into Pegasus Recruting. How should I choose what program to go with and how will I know I found the one? How did you decide on what program to go with? Thank you in advance, sorry for the long comment.

  • @murielrennerlewis Thanks for watching my vids. If you give me a few days I would be happy to make a vid answering all of your questions :) Don't apologize for the long comments...I'm notorious for writing a lot...have a great day!!!
