As a tier 2 Technical support (PDA) for T-mobile, I will tell you all that the iphone 3gs is better than the Motorola CLIQ in terms of speed and functionality. The only advantages of the CLIQ to the iphone I can see are Android and MOTOBLUR, but it still pales in comparison to what you can do with your iphone (Assuming you know what you're doing). Not to mention the failure rate on the CLIQ is huge. So many issues with that phone. Keyboard is nice though.

Meh, the processor is still waaaay too slow. The update did fix most of the issues I had (and there were a LOT of them), but Motorola has still lost a lot of respect with many people over this phone being released too early. I don't want to beta test Motorola's shit unless they are paying me.
rember with new tech like the nexus one they havent worked out all the buggs yet, but then on the other hand its always newer updates to most htc handsets like every 3 months.

Meh, the processor is still waaaay too slow. The update did fix most of the issues I had (and there were a LOT of them), but Motorola has still lost a lot of respect with many people over this phone being released too early. I don't want to beta test Motorola's shit unless they are paying me.

so i suggest getting the nexus because its kick ass from what i saw it do already. the mytouch sucks and the cliq is a g1 on steroids.

@vante92 i bought nexus one about 3 days ago already sold it. trust me the bugs on it are soo annoying that the speed of it does not even matter.and the battery life is really bad i went 2 days when i had to charge in the middle of the day

oh i used my friends nexus one it seemed pretty stable , but the batter was pretty sucky about a hour on 3g the battery drained about 25%, but hard war wise it has potential to put up a fight against the iphone i have a regular 16gb 3g iphone and it works great on tmobile and im trying to buy a bold 9700 but the touch pad is really bad on the 8520 to me

Yeah, I wish I knew the Cliq is such a piece of shit before I bought one. The iPhone works on the Tmobile network, so I should have bought one of those instead. The worst part is Motorola's terrible support for their phones. Skipping Android 1.6, making us wait so long for 2.1, and even lying to us about the OTA update that was supposedly coming today to fix some of the problems. I'll NEVER buy another piece of Motorola garbage. And people wonder why everyone hates American products??

The Cliq was a waste of money, I regret buying one too. Nothing on it works the way it should, and everything is painfully slow. I use my ipod touch for the web, can't beat apple's screen and layout for browsing.

I am telling you what apple has really set the bar high when first coming up with the iphone. Most companies have mocked the format style of the iphone and still cant get it right. I dont have an iphone or any smart phone for that matter, but it amazes me how apple got it right the first time and companies are still after 5 6 phones trying to get it like an iphone. I will probably leave t mobile and go to at&t because I doubt 10 months they will have a phone better then the i.

Also, the iphone 3gs to cliq really isn't a fair comparison, lets see it against the Motorola Droid.

Well this was almost a year ago, and I don't even have a G1 anymore, but the cliq is way more laggy than other low end Android phones, because motoblur slows it down.
