Gees, I've seen this before and I know of the case and what happened etc, etc (I won't spoil it, don't worry), but it is still so hard to watch! I think knowing how the story unfolded and that it is a true story and everything that happened after this was made just makes it so much worse. I'm just glad that we'd abolished the death penalty by then!!! Thanks for uploading!
Yep, it's one of the best against capital punishment. I just wish it was the only case against capital punishment, in that no one had actually been put to death at Her Majesties pleasure that were innocent. Sadly, that isn't the case (RIP Timothy Evans) and there are a load of cases coming to light like this in America.
I just don't see what it achieves, really. Even if it was 110% that we had the right person, for every member of the victims family that are happy that the culprit is put to death, you have an innocent member of the culprits family that will have to spend the rest of their lives in misery. The murderer isn't suffering for what he/she did, his/her family are. It doesn't bring the victim back, it doesn't serve as a deterrent and no one can agree on a humane way to do it anyway!
