There are still farmers that do it the humane why. Why are people so against eating meat if this isn't always the case? I believe this is abuse but not always how some farmers do it

I switched to a plant based diet a few months ago. Not so much because I have feelings for the animals, but for health reasons. Almost all meat in the US is tainted with staph and many other types of bacteria. I've lost weight and feel better than ever! I would strongly encourage everyone interested to give it a try. No disrespect to farmers or hunters, but factory produced meat is disgusting!
In Sweden it's much better, but still kind of sad for the babies :/ When they are two days old they seperate from ther mother and are put in a small ""cage". But when they are about 1-2 weeks, they go with about 10 other calfs, and then when they are about 6 months they go woth all the other old cows :) That's how it works on all the 25 farms i've been on !

Make it harder for the dairy farmers to live lower calf markets mean that the calves are not sold but are taken out back and shot and thrown in a pile. it costs money to truck it to the sale. trucking is more than what the calves are worth.
Some day we will be forced to recognize the intimate fellowship of us, humans, and other mammals. We have no right to be cruel toward creatures that share our emotions.

Every asshole who does this needs to be made to watch this done to his/her kids, even forced to participate. While this is occurring they should be housed as they have housed the animals they tortured, no water. They will be told from the start that as soon as their last remaining loved one is dead that they will go through the process themselves. This is so sad, I would never eat veal. This brutal industry really needs to be shut down, it's so much like the slave trade of just a few hundred years ago. One day, we will all look back in shame and horror.
I'm a meat eater and I put my natural canine teeth to use but I do not consume veal or any other protein that came from an animal that was greatly tortured before death. I do not support it or buy veal. Hell, I used to eat Sharks Fin soup at a nice Chinese restaurant in the 80's and stopped when I heard what it was. Even the restaurant later stopped serving it. I rather eat meat from an animal that had some quality of life before death rather than one that was tortured before death.

if you drink milk you are supporting veal, the calves used for veal are mostly males born on dairy farms, if you want your cow to continue producing milk you have to breed it, and males cant make milk when they grow up so they get sold to make veal... its all about profit for the companies...

"Organic" only means they are injected with fewer chemicals and hormones, katapilla. It has nothing to do with the abuse they suffer or the size of the crates. It's legal because so many people buy dairy. They need to send the newborn calves SOMEWHERE so we can have claim to the milk (although I went 30+ years of my life thinking cows just stood around growing full udders all the time, and depend on us to milk them so they don't explode... never knew they have to go through a repeated cycle of impregnation, birth, being torn from the babies on the 1st day, milked continuously.... then repeat, repeat, repeat until they're spent & killed.
Becoming vegetarian won't solve very much, cows in these farms are extremely dependent on humans and will die in the wild. western countries eat to much of one thing and don't dare as much to eat alternatives to meat. we should take example from eastern countries like japan by eating a large variety giving a break to one species however we still shouldn't overdo it. I still think eating veal is wrong because it is not natural. The veal industry must come to an end.

What's unnatural is drinking another species milk, which is meant to go to their babies. if you drink milk, you support veal. that's the sad truth of what happens to the baby cows when their mothers' milk is taken away.

You're right, at first. But can you tell what makes a cow live a happy life? No one knows, did not know and will never know as nobody of us IS a cow. Thoug every research tells us what they might understand and think - we won't know it really. @markod2002 cows can be kept as pets. most hamsters wouldn't survive in the wild, either. besides, why would a cow want to live if all it gets is pain and misery? from birth to death? rather not live at all.

I'm a meat eater and I put my natural canine teeth to use but I do not consume veal or any other protein that came from an animal that was greatly tortured before death. I do not support it or buy veal. Hell, I used to eat Sharks Fin soup at a nice Chinese restaurant in the 80's and stopped when I heard what it was. Even the restaurant later stopped serving it. I rather eat meat from an animal that had some quality of life before death rather than one that was tortured before death.

Animals are a food source. Nothing more, nothing less. All you people crying over how the cheeseburgers on 4 legs are treated need to get a life. People are not meant to eat just veggies alone. Nothing goes better with a baked tater than a thick juicy, rare cooked steak. if you drink milk you are supporting veal, the calves used for veal are mostly males born on dairy farms, if you want your cow to continue producing milk you have to breed it, and males cant make milk when they grow up so they get sold to make veal... its all about profit for the companies...

What it boils down to is that we don't have to participate in the suffering of any living creature. We don't need the animal protein to survive and be healthy. This a lie, perpetuated by people who stand to make a profit. "Organic" only means they are injected with fewer chemicals and hormones, katapilla. It has nothing to do with the abuse they suffer or the size of the crates. I used to buy that BS too, and made sure to get all my animal products from "organic" farms, because they sure do a good job of brainwashing us and hiding the truth.

It's legal because so many people buy dairy. They need to send the newborn calves SOMEWHERE so we can have claim to the milk (although I went 30+ years of my life thinking cows just stood around growing full udders all the time, and depend on us to milk them so they don't explode... never knew they have to go through a repeated cycle of impregnation, birth, being torn from the babies on the 1st day, milked continuously.... then repeat, repeat, repeat until they're spent & killed.

Becoming vegetarian won't solve very much, cows in these farms are extremely dependent on humans and will die in the wild. western countries eat to much of one thing and don't dare as much to eat alternatives to meat. we should take example from eastern countries like japan by eating a large variety giving a break to one species however we still shouldn't overdo it. I still think eating veal is wrong because it is not natural. The veal industry must come to an end.

What's unnatural is drinking another species milk, which is meant to go to their babies. if you drink milk, you support veal. that's the sad truth of what happens to the baby cows when their mothers' milk is taken away.

You're right, at first. But can you tell what makes a cow live a happy life? No one knows, did not know and will never know as nobody of us IS a cow. Thoug every research tells us what they might understand and think - we won't know it really. So we don't have the right to say how a cow has to live like happy as we don't have those rights for every non-human being. That might make us stop breeding them and many ppl would get upset if they don't get meat anymore... So sad.
