although there wasnt much pollution caused by cars, imagine all that lovely fragnance from horse carriages left overs :D.. with such "heavy" traffic, it must have been difficult for people to breathe.. or come back home with clean shoes lol. But being serious- life looks so much healthier in these footages, people had definitely more time for eachother, no online fraud problems, no global warming.. ofcourse there are pros and cons, but overall opinion is positive.

Why is it that mosques upset certain people they were built for a purpose just like churches, synagoges (excuse me I cant remember the spellling.) Temples etc. Churches are also built in Eastern countries too like Pakistan India etc and it doesnt upset me. We all have a freedom to have what we believe in.

My Dad said in 1973 (years after this), he walked down Downing Street with my Mum when they were visiting, and the tourists then were allowed so close to the PM's house, that he could actually see inside the Prime Minister's car, and almost reach out to touch it.

Dear Gerogiah., In the olden days the penalty for murder was hanging. . The penalty for Armed Robbery was thirty years in prison. . Having greater freedom in the city was safe compared with now for that fear of being caught doing a crime. .
