Did I read that you live in Canada? I live in Maine and every time I go out doors now there is a certain family of crows that sit on the roof over my back door. They wait for me to come out and then follow me around now while I fill up my feeders. I always leave some corn for them. Especially in these brutal snowy winters here. I did see an owl take down a crow this winter, all the crows in the area were there harrassing him for hours after that!
@loveofbostons Yes, I do--in Newfoundland. Corn is good, but in actuality they would probably love some low-cost hot dogs if possible! Dry dog kibble is great as well. Leftovers are awesome too! Some people who want to attract crows build a platform-style feeder to put things on.
Owls are the dire enemy!!! and crows will harass them at every opportunity! Even jays will.
