This movie could have been a great hit if they had planned the budget like they planned the film itself and of course they did the research. There is a line, "actually of Macedonian descent." In those days, they didn't make Egyptians into whites. Even if whites played them, they were made to look like them.

I love this movie but even I have to admit that this cheesy trailer was pretty appalling! No wonder they stayed away in droves...it could have been executed so much better. Who the fuck was responsible for this...? Even so, thanks for posting...it was interesting to get a glimpse of how audiences back then were introduced to this epic classic...
