  • My name is Dr. Monica Carezani-Gavin and I provide bio-identical hormone replacement therapy in Pennsylvania. Wonderful, comprehensive video on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

  • yes how do u do MtF services??

  • Sexual dimorphism is something that will always intrigue me.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=xuGw3J1wffU

  • yes i agree , Great information and explanation. Men need to listen just as much

as women . Glad you are working with all of these options. This is a wonderful treatment that DOES make a differance in lives. Also we are not all the same - and thank god we do have these options !!!!

  • I am so glad to find someone who speaks about hormonal balance in a way that not anyone else has.

    Ty Dr Vince ; )

  • this can to therapy hormone for MTF, pleace help me in this case, i need the information for a MTF

  • @ateneacristal same :( and its expensive :(

  • @d3vilnaruto

Bioidentical might be safer but much more expensive.

But in the long run - it saves you hospital bills.

  • @ateneacristal

    Private Message me , ok.

I think i can help you.

  • Bioidetical hormones may have side effects if not balanced properly. They need to be monitored. Also one need to look at other things like the adrenals and the liver. They are better if used topically. In Canada and the USA you can look for compounding pharmacies under PCCA or Medisca theyboth have lists available.

It's about quality of life for many women

  • Your premarin gimmick is out of date ...

  • Very good video, we don't do enough of "whole picture testing" I know so many women in menopause who are taking birth control pills! I do disagree that Bioidentical Hormone Therapy is side effect free, there are still side effects and there are still risks from using them. No hormone therapy is side effect free. Compounding pharmacists still check and tell you that they are not risk free. MUCH better than synthetic, but side effect free...too premature

  • Thank God for Bio-Identical Hormones!

  • Thank God for Bio-Identical Hormones!

  • Thanks for your channel and for the hormone info. Sincerely, Premier Hormone Balance

  • This is a great video. Dr., you are a very good speaker, clear, concise and make sense. Easy to understand what I thought would be an incredibly complex issue.

  • Bio-Identical hormones simply make sense. Good video thank you.

  • What compounding pharmacy do you recommend? Also, can cytomel (an alternative to synthroid) be given safely via injection?

  • I wonder how it works on Bonobo Monkeys? They say that Bonobo Monkeys have similar DNA to humans like Chimps.

Still we are a separate monkey. What happens if one is developed with deformed sexual parts to the hormones in time? Is there things science doesn't know about hormones in creatures? So much to this thing to know.

  • If your science is coming from any christian or other religious influenced source, then you need to find a new source.

  • You know your stuff. Glad to see your willingness to help with HRT. I report on this topic as well.

  • Maybe can this work on homosexuality ?

  • From what I know homosexuality has more to do than just simply a biological difference between them and heterosexuals. I have heard that homosexuality is observed in most (if not all) species of animals (or mammals?).

Also I believe, in addition to biological effects on sexuality, there are also situational affects from childhood. That is, there's a combination of inputs that cause the person's output to be attraction towards their own gender.

    (Replying to awsomescience)

  • 'Homosexuality' is not observed in any animals. This is complete unscientific caca that's perpetuated by humans who have a personal position to defend. Nature weeds out anything that isn't conducive to the propagation of species. What may be observed is animals in heat jumping on something that resembles a female and attempting to procreate. The impulse is always to PROCREATE and very very very rarely they get it wrong.

  • gay evolutionists have got themselves into quite a conundrum. let's see if they're honest as well

  • Yes it is actually. Quite extensively in mammals and birds.

Also, homosexuality is no different in terms of procreation than non-breeders, which are also extensive in many species.

Straight-up procreation isn't the goal and certainly isn't the most successful means of passing on successful genes for a species.

I think you should probably look at yourself in the mirror when you say its "perpetuated by humans who have a personal position to defend."

I bet I can guess what yours is...

  • The gay animals myth is up there with holocaust denial in terms of absurdity! No good science to support it though a number of gay scientists and ideologically motivated zoo directors have tried. Just because one animal mounts another doesn't mean it's sexual. Most of the time it's an act of dominance. In other words, one male is saying to another that he gets first pick of the females.Everything in nature points towards procreation and survival. I have no position to defend except common sense.

  • No point in arguing with someone who is willfully ignorant of the facts.

Here's a scientific fact that you can easily google: homosexuality has been documented in over 450 different vertebrate species.

Just because you dislike the idea of homosexuality in no way refutes the FACTS, and you can say its absurd all you want, the FACTS disagree, end of story. Nothing you say can change scientific FACT. Educate yourself on subjects before letting your personal feelings overwhelm truth.

  • Bullshit -- homosexuality in non-humans was documented by "Homosexuals" trying to build support for their agenda. I don't care if you are gay but tell the truth. Exclusive homosexual "behavior" exists only in Humans. Homosexuality is about behavior and the FACT that homosexuals can and do have heterosexual sex proves it is behavior not biology. Genetic homosexuality would tend to diminish a species but such observations do not exist.

  • No I am sorry, but whoever told you that was either lying to you to further their own agenda (not surprising), or is in complete denial of the facts. I don't have to argue with you about that which is scientific fact and can easily be researched. I like how you're so certian about particulars too, particulars that are still being discussed in biology.

Seriously, do people post in comments with all the conviction in the world on a particular topic but never bother educating themselves?

  • I wonder if you refer to Joan Roughgarden's work. I think you (like others apparently) mistake a somewhat biased viewed on the evolutionary reasoning behind homosexuality in nature that she takes, and somehow confuse the debate over the evolutionary function involved with the actual occurances of such behavior. Though I hope you understand there is a difference.

Read PZ Meyers science blog on this, 'Evolution and Homosexuality".

  • "procreation isn't the goal and certainly isn't the most successful means of passing on successful genes for a species."

Are you a MORON? Procreation is the ONLY way species pass on traits. Even Humans (at this point in time) can only pass on genes through procreation. You sound like you were educated in California.

  • Actually I said "straight up procreation isn't the goal, and certainly isn't...." etc. There is a big difference, the difference being if weaker genes are harmful to the overall species, then straight up procreation isn't the most successful means... hence why alot of species have non-breeders the same as homosexual, some species have a single dominant male who procreates (like in apes) and the dominant genes push the species further.

Do I need to hold your hand through any more of this?

  • this is one of the best videos i've seen on this channel!!

well done - clear, easy to understand. informative, good examples, know what you're talking about

    keep them up!

  • very interesting. I enjoyed this vid.

  • did he say out of marriage urine? at 1:01

  • mare urine. female horse.

  • mare urine. The estrogen replacement drug Premarin is made from pregnant mare urine, pre-mar-in.

  • ...I urge you to think critically about your over-all health and lifestyle and what information you accept as "credible" and what you accept as "junk."

They tell you aspartame is healthy, after all......

  • ... I worked in Cardiology clinical trials and medicine for 10 years and let me tell you, medicine serves a dual purpose: to make you feel better and to sell you product (pills). Endocrinologists, like all specialties, have many incentives for selling drugs. Free meals, free conferences, drinks, office supplies, lots of ass-kissing. I have been a part of this FIRST HAND. Premarin is less effective long-term than a bioidentical because of the side-effects this man speaks of ...

  • MEDICAL FANATICISM. People think that the *only* qualified person to tell them about their health has a MD behind their name, and the only solution comes as a prescription. The result: a broken medical system and a culture of obese people who take little responsibility for their own health. What's the problem with seeking alternative means to heal thyself, Pongman? If you only get info about hormones is from an endocrinologist, GOOD LUCK getting what you need ...

  • word! i could not sat it better my self

  • why the rose cheecks?

  • We need more herbal doctors in my opinion.

  • i can't keep my eye off his eye brow. it keeps going up. He like the rock . CAN U SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLHAAA WHAT THE DOC IS COOKIN!!!

  • @mic2damgood Haha. i was looking at the same thing and then i saw your comment. hella funny. (norcal)

  • I think we need to get our health care setup like china's. They only pay if they get well!!! The health of people is important and not a game. Thanks for the video! ;-)

  • I am so glad you are back Dr Bellonzi you are my hero!

  • Good video. I'm a guy. I went to a doctor one time back in school and he asked me if i took estrogen (i was about 15 or so) and i said, "no" because i wasn't. I don't know why he would ask that. My tits were/are large, maybe that's why. Then he finished his checkup or whatever and as usual there was nothing wrong with me. I've never really had ANYTHING wrong with me yet they've made plenty of money off me.. point is: if you're seeing doctors make sure that they are helping you.

  • That's why we have endocrinologist. When it comes to hormones it's their field of medicine and research. People should realize why we have subspecialists in medicine.

  • You should realize how sub-specialization causes most of the problems with modern allopathic medicine.

  • I disagree I would rather have someone operate on me that has done twenty or more surgeries than someone who hasn't done any.

  • See what mental compartmentalization does? You can't even accurately read what I'm typing.

If I have deadly increased intracranial pressure from hepatic failure resulting from massive potassium deficiency, which doctor do I go to?

Let's say my only symptom is horrendous ICP, so I go to a neurologist. They take an MRI and CT-scan, find nothing, tell me I'm depressed and prescribe me paxil. Two months later I die of hepatic failure.

This almost happened to me; luckily I'm not an idiot.

  • It's simple you go to an internist who then consults the specialist whom he feels understands the problem. The specialist may seek additional incite with his professor who then brings the problem to grand rounds at the world's greatest hospital and all the specialist discuss the problem with all the professors of all the specialties. That's what Grand Rounds is for. That is also why we have a tier system in diagnosing diseases. That is also why we have peer review journals.

  • LOL wow ok that's enough, you have shown you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • Sounds to me you should have died. One less asshole in the world isn't all bad. lol

  • Enough from the emotionally retarded child.

  • Also, it's spelled "insight," as in "in-sight." To incite is to cause to happen, like to "incite a riot." Someone who hasn't read enough books to even know how to spell a 7 letter word has no right to comment on medical practices and literature.

Also, "YEAH I MAY BE WRONG BUT UR AN ASSHOLE" is never a valid response; not if you want to be anything other than a waste of breath.

  • Do the earth a favor and don't go to the emergency ward the next time you get sick. I mean near death sick and just eat a granola bar and choke.

  • I was near-death sick, went to the emergency ward, was sent home because they "had no idea" what was happening, and nearly died. Then, I helped myself.

Do Darwin a favor and think about absolutely nothing next time you're sick; just trust the pharmaceutical representa... I mean men in the nice white coats.

If you'd rather replace reality and rational discussion with your emotional outbursts, that's fine, but don't expect me not to point out your folly; or not to make fun of you. 41? Sad.

  • And dont you ever eat fruits and vegtables or how about you never drink water and only take medication and see how far you last. YOU NEED NATURE!

  • The emergency room is for emergencies. I'll go there if I break my arm. You'll go there if you have a runny nose. This is the reason why phrama companies can practically run the FDA: lazy people, giving their power away. There should be a balance, not this one-or-the-other nonsense. Go see your doctor when you have to, but in the mean time, eat right, get a massage, and get off your couch. And get some counseling for your anger problems, for Christ's sake, you're going to have a stroke.

  • Um Christ has nothing to do with it. However keep eating your vegetables especially the low growing variety like lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and berries; maybe you'll be lucky and get Listeria. Just don't go to the Emergency Ward or they might give you an antibiotic! lol Oh and one other thing make certain you eat them raw ;) you wouldn't want to kill off the "good bacteria".

  • I went to the emercency and they told me that "What I need they cant give me" When will you see that the medical industry isnt there to help you as much as they are there to make money off of your sickness.Hence they want to keep you sick.

  • What do you do for a living, pongman?

  • I don't do. I live off a trust fund.

  • You just want to argue regardless. If you want to disagre with my lifestlye, discourage me from eating veggies because of the potential bacteria (ludicrous), hate that I excersise, eat well, and pay attenion to my own health, that went to grad school and working for a living, whatever I've done that pisses you off...that's your problem, not mine. I wish you happiness, health, or intense drama...whatever it is you seek, I'm done with you.

  • What in the fuck are you talking about? What "good bacteria" are you going to kill in vegetables? If ignorance is bliss, you are the happiest person in the world.

You shouldn't type when you have the brain capacity of a fish.

  • He means the naturally occuring enzymes that assist in the digestion of foods.

  • wattaaa, you will have to excuse us MD types. We tend to focus on human anatomy and pysiology with a minor emphasis on english. I speak 6 languages so once again excuse us for our slight mishaps with the english language. Btw, I'm always seeking a great editor for my medical journals.

  • Most of the problems can be solved by nutrition, for example depending on what you need to have done primerose is good for hormone balance and iodine helps the thyroid.

  • Excellent video. I think too that we sometimes forget that menopause is not an illness, but a natural stage in human development; like puberty (but backwards).

I think one of the reasons many traditional doctors are unknowledgeable about it is because they're supposed to specialize in problems, not normal processes. It's easy to forget that menopause is normal.

Unfortunately we're so afraid of aging in our culture that we have forgotten that it's an honor to reach this stage of life.

  • Fact you for helping my herbalism, we use plants and are aware about the topic of hormones in plants!

  • Haha, i hear you on that! There is some snake oil talk around here a lot! :P

  • He's been here for a long time! :P

  • get your Amalgam fillings removed

  • Can you please move to Chicago or do you know an expert in the field of bio identical hormones in the Chicago area?

  • Thank you, Doctor Vince; this video was truely helpful. Thanks so much!

  • Interesting topic and interesting video as always, Psychetruth.
