That Supra weighs more, is more practical, handles better, stops better, keeps its value better, and is much more reliable than most of the cars it runs against. On top of that, it has a tiny straight six. I think it deserves a little extra boost to be fair, seeing as the Cobra has two extra cylinders, almost 2 liters of displacement and a supercharger, on top of all I mentioned before...

@ECLPST It's not racing an import, though. It doesn't matter that 3L is big for Japan, it's small for America. Most of our straight-6s are 4L or bigger. :P Turbos are amazing, maybe America should think about using them more often... Ford picked up on them to great success.

That car would have to be immaculate and include approximately 10K in performance upgrades. so sorry but no, a stock 1988 supra 88K mi., would be more in the 10K-17K range, 20K in immaculate condition. as for the cobras, well the body style of those years aren't that desireable, so value on a 1988 cobra between 8K-12K stock, but performance upgrade modifications of any car will increase value. both cars are quick and awesome none the less.

@rarerod74 Just for your information, and as a little advice, you shouldnt believe everything you read on the internet, KBB doesnt even look at the condition of a vehicle, its giving a price based on an "immaculate" vehicle, KBB doesnt check for upgrades or modifications to the powertrain, doesnt look at how many scratches, dents, dings, are on the body of the car or how worn and torn the interior is. Then you have to take into account the economy. I swear your as dumb as they come.

"Fair, Good, Very Good, and Excellent" from worst to best. Just for you. Upgrades and Modifications dont add any actual value to the car only personal value. People will pay for more because they want it. When cars are sold however closest to factory is desireable because of its reliability

If you were educated enough different cars have different gears so a car with less power can top out at a higher speed where a lower geared car will be red lined and done. SO the expense between v8 & v6 on modifications are not very different..but in modding a 4 cyclinder vs a v6 or v8...there is no contest. its cheap as hell..But you get what you pay for.. some people dont understand that when they put there fully built 4 cyclinder vs a fully built 3.0 liter or a v8.
