  • BRAKE light is on...

  • Hahaha mattsrepair .... you are a jackass buddy..... this way pretty fast shifting. So you have built t56 transmissions before? What brand? I think your a pussy ass little bitch kid who is trying to feel cool by running your mouth. I bet you dont even own a car lol. And dont tell me to look at any videos of your car .... i can find a video of a ferrari and put it on youtube too... bitch ass fag

  • you shift like shit.i dont care how much shit people talk on here or not,but coming from a guy who BUILDS T56's,theres NOT ONE that will take this kind of abuse for ANY length of time...yes...it might be holding up SO-FAR,but trust me...IT WONT for long.Im willing to throw down triple digit bills that says that I can shift better times out of YOUR car than you can,AND i wont be "banging" gears like that. That T56 is crying out for help!Probably a teenaged driver who thinks he's "the shit".

  • @mattsrepair10 Sorry but you are mistaken. Thats not banging gears, the clutch is completely disengaged between shifts. The noise you hear is the engine revving, not the transmission. The trans doesnt make a peep, no grind, squeal nothing. I built this trans myself. You're right about a bone stock T-56 if it has the aluminum 3-4 shift fork you can easily break it. But this one is steel 3-4 fork, vette synchros, bronze fork pads, etc... Get educated about what these transmissions can do.

  • Finally! Somebody that knows how to shift! I got a 67 SS 427 Chevelle an I shift just like that

  • @345CIDHemi Hell yeah!

  • 95 with the e-brake pulled, nice. ;) Haha, I just bought a 95 Z28 yesterday with a T56, great transmission.

  • this car drives good and he shifts good what the hell is wrong with some people?

  • that's the way I do it

  • ik your powershifting but whats the noise in between shifts? grinding gears?

  • I don't know why everyone is freaking about about powershifting a T56, they're pretty bullet proof. I have one in my bolt on and geared Cobra and I powershift the hell out of it and it's shifts smooth as hell still.

  • Get a Cobalt SS/TC you pussy. Spray it.

  • @ForceFedProductions Not saying Cobalt SSs are bad.... I'm just thinking Camaro LT1s are alot more legit. Not a plastic little car.

  • i find most of these comments funny. if you go to a dragstrip and u see a FAST manual car ( or truck) they power shift. AND in this video he isnt even on the rev limiter. i mean i wouldnt do it but to each his own lol

  • omg who gives a fuck if this is bad on the transmission or not? most things that make you faster aren't good for any car. This dude can shift fast as shit. I've got a t56 in my caprice and power shift it as well and it's held up just fine.

  • I think if you kept your fucking mouth shut you would have far less critics bashing you than nessessary.

  • @MegaSicklecell suck my dick

  • @gregrob20 You must be a dumb ass teen.

Your mom said you were a lousy fuck so she called me.

  • @MegaSicklecell You would be implying he fucks his mom? Lame dude.

  • @BeltDrivenMadness

Wow aren't you the quick one!

  • @gregrob20 4.11's?

  • @IDontHateOnCars Had either 4.10s or 3.90s at that time. Dont remember exactly which. Ran better with the 3.90s, especially on the spray.

  • @gregrob20 spray video's ?

  • is my tack on my 1998 LS1 off?

  • thats right.

  • ronnie sox...thats how to powershift.

  • 0:18 "that's how you shift baby"..... POP

    "that's how you walk home"

  • He's right, the stock tachs are way off. Were there any mods to the motor or trans at the time of the vid?

  • @mavsformula nope, he launched at 4 second mark, hit 60mph at the 9 second mark, he powershifted beautifuly to get the fastest possible time... thoes guages are fine. just seemed quicker then it was,

  • @CemetaryGatesML That was also 3/4 throttle max. I was showing the shifting technique, not how "fast" the car was. It was bolt ons and baby cam and went 12.9 N/A and 11.50s on spray at VERY high altitude.

  • @gregrob20 to pull a second and a half off your NA time is alot of nitrous lmao

  • @davisz28 Its called 7500 DA... No oxygen

  • Nice work !

  • stock flywheel? that thing would chirp through 4th with a lighter one lol

  • @Grifkylian Stock flywheel yes. It has a billet flywheel with Mcleod street twin and a built 355 now. I'll post some more vids when it's up and running!

  • i'm not a noob, i own a 94 lt1 with a t56 their not the best transmission's

  • @gregrob20 you stfu cocksucker hope you blow the piece of shit up!

  • @RedResurrections STFU!!!

  • baby

  • thats how you tear up a T56

  • @RedResurrections No, not really. STFU NOOB

  • I did this kind of shifting in my 98 ls1 z28 and after a few bad ass runs it grenaded the trans lol

  • i owned 3- 1992 camaros all rs 25th anniversarys(2 converts and a t top) a 1991 z28 350 ,a 1993 corvette 40th anniversary a 1998 z28 LS1 and a recent 1996 z28 convertible LT1 with lt4 cam and mild bolt ons and my favorite is the 96 the lt 1 engine is my favorite iron block angle plug high flow heads and reverse flow cooling ive grown very fond of the little LT1s low rpm torque with superb street power and 27 mpg at 70 on trips with the top up or down fun

  • Did it have the XFI cam when you took this video?

  • @mellenjuice Yep

  • That's not how you shift baby

  • I was always afraid to do that with my LTx motors, although both the T56 and ZF6 inspire confidence. I did it to my Non-WC T5 in my old 3rd gen, but w/ only 155 hp on tap, I wasn't likely to break anything. You wouldn't think a 305 could get rubber in the first 4 gears...but it can, just not very fast. ;)

  • Love how it sounds like it's growling between each shift. My second car was an LT1 Z28. I miss that car some days.

  • Thats not how you shift baby... retard...

    dont redline it every shift...

  • @MsSnarler You are showing your ignorance with this post. It goes into the red because I keep my foot to the floor. I was actually shifting early on those runs. I usually shift at 6400 and the stock LT1 tach is way off and reads much HIGHER than actual. So here's an idea, go fuck yourself, eat shit, and die. You have no idea what the proper shifting technique for MY car is.

  • @MsSnarler You don't know what powershifting is huh? DUMBASS. Keep your mouth shut and read. Retard.

  • @MsSnarler watch?v=--_fOePZDoY

This is shifting done by a professional drag racer. Look at the RPM.

Shifting on an LT1 at 6000rpm is what you a call a perfect shift.

  • @MsSnarler Hurr redline is a mark on the guage nothing more.

  • Wow, very impressive!!! Makes me miss my m6 z!!!

  • Well someone has figured out how to drive fast! O.o

  • it is harder on them than normal driving. If you want to get real serious faceplating is the answer

  • I see from the comments that it doesn't seem to be bad for the tranny or a decent (non-stock) clutch. Does this include the syncros? No one thinks this kind of shifting is particularly hard on the syncros?

  • @flyc2a Your an idiot that is the supidest comment I have ever heard.

  • so 2011 V6 Mustangs run better than 11.50s? Good to know.

  • @gregrob20 no. it runs a 12.6 stock... witch is damn good for 30 mpg.

  • @paintballer0816 put down the crack pipe. they've BARELY hit 14 flat bone stock.

  • @350RSCamaro im talking the 2011 bro. look it up.

  • @350RSCamaro ohh really, look it up 2011mustang. it will run 13's all day bro. the stock gt runs 12's.

  • @paintballer0816 the problem is that you said the v6's run 12.6's stock. in response to gregrob's comment of "so 2011 v6 Mustang's run better than 11.50's? Good to know."

and idk why, but i was thinking of the v6 vert's times.

  • @350RSCamaro dude i dont even remember this this was 5 months ago.

  • ive been doing no lift shifts in every single one of my t56s and ive had 7 cars with them.... man it sure sux when you miss that third gear in the early models tho...

  • It's 100% okay to shift like this, been doing it for over a year on a stock T56 in my 94Z with over 220xxx miles. Granted it does have a good clutch. I'd say a stock clutch would probably slip a little between shifts but if you can tell it's slipping engage it then disengage.

  • It a great way to get some more sped . i use to do that in my supercharged lt1 t56 Trans am all the time . never had any trans issue. allow thow im sure it would prefer normal driving to racing anyday .

  • It can wear the clutch faster, yes.

  • @gregrob20 People are retarded that are commenting on the video. It's no harder on anything then it is doing burnouts or grabbing gears. You're still using the clutch, just faster--and besides. The question about it being harder on the clutch depends purely on the clutch and the power level. Bunch of Honda kids imo.

  • this is bad for the clutch or what? i just got a 6 speed and you can say I am still learning

  • What gears do you have? You can check mine out on my page, it has 3:73's

  • That trans'll be done. What a waste.

  • @x42bnx No it won't, it's built for it. The trans has been doing this for 2 years and it is as good as the day I built it. and it's not a waste, because it is a performance car. When you build a car to race you expect a higher level of maintenance. Now go back to drive your prius and dont try to sound smart.

  • @gregrob20

Wasn't aware that was a performance car.

  • @x42bnx I wasnt aware a V6 mustang was either. Retard

  • @gregrob20

race car? and i wouldnt talk about v6 mustangs cuz a 2011 v6 stang would whoop on this slow lt1~! End of discussion

  • @gregrob20

My prius, right. My prius has an LS1 in it, not a bitch ass LT1. Thanks though!

  • @x42bnx LTjuans neva roose..

  • @gregrob20 Hell yeah tell these stupid mother fuckers! If you want to win with a manual, you shift just like this man did!! You fucking chumps.

  • not job man, yeah that T56 can handle it for sure, it's the clutch and rearend you gotta worry about.

  • Power shifting? Soon he will have transmission problems or find it under his car in pieces.

  • @bbluemoon1955 Wrong. It's a built T56, it can handle it just fine...

  • nice as hell

    sounds like a stall

  • dude thats great shifting sounds like you almost have a stall because of how fast it was

  • what kind of shifting is that what do u do?

  • @454sskilla Hold your right foot on the floor, bump the clutch, and rip the shifter.
