Yeah when Shaq went to Heat, it was Wade's team, but an aged Shaq on the Suns isnt the same as a Shaq on the Lakers. When Shaq went to the Heat, it wasnt building a team around Shaq, it was buildign a team around Wade. When Shaq went to LA, it was building a team around Shaq. Hence, when Shaq left, they had to rebuild around Kobe!

I didn't say it was spectacular. I said it was a great play. Kobe challenged it and got dunked on. Just because it wasn't brought down with force and he didn't rip the rim down, doesn't negate it being a poster-play. But then again you consider poster plays as any hard dunk with someone near it that might make contact. So you think Kobe's round 1 dunk vs the jazz in last years playoffs was a poster play on Milsap. Which I would argue, wasn't a "poster-play"

That a dunk on someone who jumps to challenge isn't as worthy as one just stands there. I understand, but the standard by which many people (announcers, players, fans) have considered a poster play has been someone attempting a dunk vs someone attempting to block. achievements are the only objective measure. Kobe has 4 titles and one of each MVP. Jordan had 6 titles, 6 finals MVPs and 5 MVPs. Kobe has 25.1 PPG and 23,820 points over 941 games. Jordan had 30.1 PPG and 32,292 points over 1,072 games. There are so many more places Jordan trumps Kobe. Not to mention Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt, Russell, etc. Kobe isn't even in the top 10

And Bill an Chamberlian have never achieved the same ammount of assists as Stockton. For the stats Kobe put up it doesnt make him a sidekick 28ppg, 5apg, 6rpg. They were both #1 options. If you watched them in 2000-2002, which you obviously didnt, you would know these things. Shaq didnt win a title until he got kobe. He has won 1 without him. Kobe has won 2. 5 in total

@SAtownZ28 its sounds as if you have a deep hatred for kobe. Still mad from the 2008 WCF? how bout fisher .4 shot. Its not like he has a broken leg, you act like its career ending. Its fixable, and its not going to hurt his game like it did the rest of those players. Have fun riding the semifinals for the next 5 years.

@cattomjak i dont hate kobe nearly as much as i hate lebron or dirk so no i dont have a deep hatred. i hate how the refs bend the rules for kobe but i guess they did the same for jordan & lebron & you can watch the .4 shot as many times as you want & you can see he takes longer than half a second but because its the lakers they didnt want to review & the 08WCF i love how the nba ruled that fisher fouled after the game was over. have fun next season because the thunder will start taking over soon

@SAtownZ28 If you honestly think Duncan is better than Gasol right now your insane, Gasol is the best big man in the game. No one could match up with him in the playoffs. Duncan got owned by the suns= worst defense in the league.

@cattomjak seeing how duncan was doubled team every time he touched the ball hell they even doubled teamed him when he was out at the 3 point line( back to 07 WCF) kind of hard to score. Dwight howard is the best bigman in the game. yes they lakers beat him in 09 but who was his other bigman. reshard lewis/Bass. kind of hard to do it by yourself. i would say its sad that duncan can keep up with these younger guys at his age & condition & did yu see little 6 foot 6 blair manhandle gasol this year

@SAtownZ28 ask any expert they will say Pau Gasol is the most dominant in the game, he has an excellent post game, mid range shot, and can run the floor like no other. Im not saying that Gasol is better than duncan in his prime, but he is better now. Gasol had his way with Howard in 09, dominated Boozer and stoudamire, and Duncan couldnt even get to the conference finals the past 2 years.

@cattomjak yea because he has bynum & to bail him out. your not looking thru other teams eyes. you cant go and try and double him alot because he either has bynum lurking on the other side of the paint or odom lurking around the free throw line. duncan & howard by themselfs in the paint yet still puts up #'s like gasol. and boozer has who Okur, not that good anymore, david lee has absolutly no one and amare is a steve nash creation. no suprise gasol is better than him.

well you cant base a players greatness by outplaying everybody in every stat. if thats the case bill russell is better than michael jordan, cause he has more rings? and wilt is better than mj cause of rebounds? and stockton has more assists? its about how they changed the game and put themselves in a different category, kobe and mj are different they played in different eras, same for russel and wilt. but during their eras, they were the greatest of them all, but all-time is gonna have to be mj
