i am 27, i started to play with music almost 3 years ago - when i bought my first guitar - recently i started to play also with some DAW's, especially programming drums.. and i just wanted to say that works like this one of yours are so inspirational and give others such energy and motivation to keep on going with this.
good job, nice composition, and dont forget to upload some more!
@Dm3qXY Thanks for the kind words! Im really glad you enjoy it and can benifit from it. Creative energy is hard to come by at times. I would also like to say that when people like you leave comments like this, it stirs up more creativity in me as well. I hope I can hear some of your stuff one day :)
This is very good, inspiring! :-) Though somehow I feel it would have been even more mysterious without the snares the first 2-ish minutes.. Just my impression anyways. Flute very a tad bit too repetitive for my taste but the throughout work was nice, so 5/5 :)
Very cool! And the mystical theme came trough. Could be used in a horror movie to build up suspense. You are really good at percussion and drums :) And thanks for commenting on my vid (1 month ago, I'm slow to comment back)
This is Wicked! I'm well into my music and need to get writting. I to have no technical knowlege of music either and think that with the right approach, this is beneficial as there is no bias to certain notes and therefore more expresive providing its not a spontanious process. I'd love to know how much of the classical sounds are abletons and how long has it taken you to get this good? I'm looking for a program that will cater for my needs and think i've just found it! well done and thanks!
Well thanks a lot! Actually every instrument on this mix is a VST of Symphonic Orchestra except for the drums. Those are in the Ableton library. I actually just got a midi board so this is my very first song using midi. It's quite entertaining to say the very least and allows a ton of emotion to come through.
Hey, thanks a lot dude! There will be more coming, I just need to find the inspiration because I have no technical knowledge of music. Im relying solely on creativity but there will be much more!
The instruments are all very balanced, very effective in giving that... mystery mood!
Your use of the orchestra (the famous Quantum Leap) is just impressive, and your ability to render an increasing tension is undoubtable!
A curiosity: was that a rock drums set of samples (or a soundfont) or did you made them with the orchestra as well? Whatever the solution you've implemented, it adds a terrific, great effect!

Sounds nice, maybe you could use some more layering. The snare's are pretty much on te front. But still a nice job!

Thank you very much! Actually half the drums are taken from QLSO and the main drum beat is a tweaked sample from Ableton. Thanks for the kind words!
