Hey, I found a diferent version of this on an old single from them(b-side from Never Marry a railroad man). It's on my chanel If somebody is curious to hear that, and with the name of "hear my song", because it was the name in the record
I have this original 1970s vinyl phonograph album.I bought it in 1971 on sale at Woolco,Centennial Mall in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada. The album still plays perfectly. This is one of my favorite cuts on the album.they were truly a GREAT BAND!!!!
California Here I Come - Shocking Blue [The Hague, Netherlands] - 1969 - "Mariska Veres's vocals are GREAT and there are some FINE guitar HOOKS." - Nederbeat - Best Album Tracks 1 (Disc 2).
this is really fuzzy it diserve to go to my fave ...and it's a well done video
... What people here think about the name for a rockband -the Fuzzy Funzy- or Funtrial ?... i mean... i'm searchin a good name for a starting band...and they asked me if some of us - close friends of the band...had some good idea of rock n roll names for them...
katerynHV, am over the moon that there are people like you, who songs of this magnificent band here upload. Shocking Blue had a really great rock sound. Nowadays singers with the talent of a Mariska are hardly discoverable. She looked breathtaking and had a song voice which searches her equals. For you 5 stars from Germany.
Same here, but this song became my ultimate favorite from the album. The middle break is one of the best examples of psychedelic tremelo used with triplets against a background of power chords. Very climactic and tasteful. And of course Mariska's haunting voice and the relentless bass line reinforce the guitar hooks to no end. An overlooked gem for sure...
I have the album of this which I bought in a junk store for 50 cents a few yrs after it came out. Bought it cuz of Venus but the whole album is good. This was my 2nd favorite song on the album...

Robbie van leeuwen, de meest ondergewaardeerde gitarist van nederland? heeft waarschijnlijk veel naar The Ventures geluisterd! Geweldige sound!
