  • I'll keep it real, I didn't even pay for this "insanity" shit I just downloaded it haha and honestly I'm starting my 4th week tomorrow and this shit really does test you physically! I sweat more in the STRETCHING then I do running for 70 minutes! As for results, I can feel a layer of ab muscles forming under my gut. I stay within my calories and try to eat organic meats/vegetables, free range chicken, Kashi Go Lean cereal. I just need to STAY away from the clubs and drinking...

  • @fernandoiscrazy where do you download it

  • please dont work out to hard i dont want you to loss those nice breast

  • Not only do you sweet like you just came out

    of a pool.Its very difficult.

  • very nicee. that is so hot :]

  • i got this from a friend, how am i supposed to know what order to do it in? like, how long i stay on one dvd or how often i switch?

  • @Tavarith Did she give you the calendar too? That tells you what to do when :)

  • i lost 20 lbs on the first month. i lost 5 lbs on the first week of the second month. i'm kind of afraid to finish the last 3 weeks because i might lose 15lbs. i'm 6'3" and 193 right now. i take in 2,000-2,200 calories because i've been so tired throughout the day. Do you do the shake thing to get most of your calories?

  • @val3nt1jn NO the shake thing is only 140 calories. You certainly need more. Lean meat and leafy greens ar A+

  • Comment removed

  • @val3nt1jn

you need carbs. Loads of them and spread them out throughout the day. Your body is adapting to the extra calorie usage with the workout.

The first 5 lbs you lost in the first week are water weight - your body naturally fluctuate easily with liquid. You have to eat right after your workout to replenish your body. you should be taking more than 2200 calories a day. You'll need tons of protein, veggies and carbs because your body needs it to repair itself and make new cells.

  • Do you think it is capable of giving you the results it promises!? I was thinking about doing this with a friend after I have my baby in July. But I do not want to pass out, it seems verrrry intense. I have not done serious training like this since I was in Military School and that was soooooo long ago : (

  • @Minky2488

I did the fitness test today, its hard!!! I havent pushed hard since the marine corps

  • @MyhardPwner NICE! Keep up the great work! Oorah! (I'm not a Marine) Hope it's ok for me to say

  • it looks scary!~ do they have sanity? :-X

  • @ULAZYCOOK No, but they have fun workouts like Brazilian Butt Lift, Turbo Jam and RevAbs

  • @paraisoat i just did one.. this is seriously not for everyone! :-P have you ever kept up with a routine? I really need to stop like in the middle.~

  • To the video poster, great job! I don't know anyone personally who has done this program, but it's nice to see there are people out there who are sticking with it, seeing results or not. I'm already seeing it's taking a lot out of me, I just decided to do them in the mornings about an hour after I wake up and have a nibble of breakfast and a sip of water. Props to you!

  • @phattacorider Thanks Phatta! Are you doing the rec overy drink afterwards? It will really help replace what is 'taken out of you'.

  • @paraisoat

I'm thinking about going to the teambeachbody site and ordering some Shakeology and Recovery Formula, I just gotta see what they offer that I don't already have in my diet. Since doing my workouts in the morning, I make sure my breakfast has plenty of carbs and protein like scrambled eggs with turkey and a banana with a protein shake and a multivitamin, then a cereal bar about 2 hours afterwards to keep things simple.

  • P90X or insanity to lose weight...I've been doing HIIT and weights for 7 months and so far I've lost 33lbs...I've reached a plateau and still need to lose 10lbs...

  • @andrea756307 Hmmm I had a weird thing happen after I answered you.. but I will try again. Use P90X if you are plateauing. Because of the P90X philosophy of 'muscle confusion' it is an unplateauable program. Insanity changed my body but I did not 'lose weight'; I got into great athletic shape. P90X made me gain wieght the first two months but I lost in the third month.

  • @paraisoat thanks for the reply, I'll get P90X

  • I'm very intrigued by the Insanity workout regime and I know it comes with a food plan. I'm just wondering, when you're pushing your body to its brink, what on earth do you eat before that workout? How long should you wait to prevent, you know, explosive vomiting? That's my biggest concern with cardio workouts, the nausea, and I wanted to know if the kit came with any tips.

  • @Raven544 I usually didn't eat for at least about and hour and a half before my workout... if it was more than that, I might drink a little of my recovery drink before and during the workout. I've worked out to the point of almost vomiting, but I've always listened to my body enough to take it down a notch in time. A lot of people see it as a great thing to push themselves so hard they vomit. I personally don't like it, so I just listen to my body. No anti-vomiting tips in the kit though :)

  • @Raven544

I started mine last Monday. I will tell you from previous exercise experience you shouldn't eat within 2 hours prior to your workout, and when you do eat, don't eat a lot! Imagine the size of a McD's hamburger, consume just that and no more. Make sure you take in plenty of protein within 30 minutes afterward, like 50g average. When you engage in a proper diet and dieting habits, nausea pretty much goes away.

  • @phattacorider maybe it's best to use the analogy of a 'deck of cards' instead :) in case people think eating a McDs hamburger is a good idea.

  • @paraisoat

LOL, true that!! Believe it or not, but a McD's burger with just kechup, no cheese, no pickle, no mustard, no onions, is actually a good day's energy booster. I read somewhere that it's as good for your body ONLY when you need an energy boost as trail mix. For everyone else reading this, McD's is BAD for your diet! But only good if your diet is worse, lol.

  • p90 or beach body insanity?

i want to pick up one. which do you recommend?

  • @misctime p90x if you want a lot of variety and to use weights... Insanity if you want to SWEAT and do mostly cardio, plyometric workouts. Both can push you to your limits.

  • would i get the same results if i did 15-20 minutes of the video throughout each day rather than the full thing at once ? i heard somewhere that working out throughout the day gets you in better shape

  • That's a great theory! Maybe! I can't say because i have never done it that way. I think as long as you keep up the intensity and proper food intake, you will see great results. If you try it, let us know your results!

  • @queenzlink247

I dunno if you've gotten a response on your question yet, but here goes in 2 comments. Spltting your workout throughout the day will allow your body to metabolize more often to keep with the activity, which would result in more fat burning and muscle gain (with a proper diet consisting of INCREASED caloric intake).

  • @queenzlink247

HOWEVER, the Insanity workout is designed to be done all at once. Since it is intense cardio workout, it involves warming up, stretching, the workout, then stretching again, key components to a beneficial workout. You'd have to warm up and stretch every time before the workout alone and after, making it two 30 minute workouts to do during the day.

  • @queenzlink247

Consider this, and for everyone else reading this. Insanity focuses on the majority of the middle of the body and lower body workout because the legs are the strongest muscles, so they can handle more activity for a longer period of time than your arms and chest, also workouts are more numerous. If you want to get fit faster, do upper body power workouts for biceps and lats, and do a moderate jog for a mile WHILE INCREASING CALORIC INTAKE!!!

  • @phattacorider There are a lot of pushup type moves that don't allow the upper body to be ignored, and the nutrition book it comes with does not want you to decrease caloric intake by any means.

  • @paraisoat

Well of course. I was just mentioning the largest focus of muscular movement and work is in the lower body because it is more of a toning program by endurance and cardivascular exercises and less a strength-enhacing system, by comparison.

  • Just ordered Insanity today so I am ready

  • bringin it?

  • AAHHH I ordered the Insanity work out just last week!! I'm so excited to get it!!!:D

  • How's it so far?

  • Need tons of motivating vids like this, awesome, after my bronchitis is cleared, I'll be starting next week :) Thx for the up!

  • aweswome! I hope you're feeling better already!

  • I am starting mine today!! I just bought the full Insanity workout. I will do the fit test today...I am ex ARMY and I am still nervous. lol

  • Nice! Yeah, even with P90x under my belt an 3 months working out with Rudy Reyes, I was smoked with Insanity. So Insanity is legit! Keep us updated!

  • I am almost exhausted and I have just started...lol. I LOVE IT!!!!

  • Yep, she's a hotty! Obviously the beachbody workouts do work.

  • damn u look great

  • I love the insanity. it will kick your butt !!!!!

  • very true! :)

  • Cool. I am in pretty good shape but I need to up my cardio and I'm going away on a trip soon, so I won't have access to free weights...I'm thinking of doing this workout in my hotel room. At the same time, I want to make sure I don't lose muscle mass. Is this a good workout program for somebody already in shape, not looking to lose muscle mass, but wanting to get ripped?

  • that's exactly who it's for

  • I started working out recently. I go to the gym, eat proper nutrition and then rest. Lets see how long it will take to get ripped. I have also uploaded my first video to see where I started.

Good luck to everyone who are working out and accomplishing their fitness goal one day at a time.

  • No joke ! I have lost 10 lbs and im finishin week 3 tomorrow =O - - - im still doing my diet and drinkin lots of water I see change in my estomach, arms and shoulders . . . im soo happy !! Its working !!! :D

  • That is awesomeness!

  • why dont people know how to use camera stands?

  • It was just a different style. I actually DO know how to use a camera stand :) I need to buy a new one too.

  • I love it !!!!!!!!!!! I been with insanity for a week now and wow very nice work out !!! I cant wait to complete the program !! :)

  • How much longer do you have?

  • I just started a week ago - im doing the diet, drinking lots of water and keep pushin PLAY - - - I love it soo much !! Awsome program !!! I want to kill Shaun when im doing the workout but at the end if feels sooooo good !!!! LOL

  • definitely keep me updated! I love hearing about final results!

  • so do you recommend p90x or insanity for a inactive person jumping into working out?

  • go insane if you feel fit enough i weigh onefourty/male and have gotten toned with abs showing within as little as one week and my legs are killing me haha i have never tried p90x so im not sure on that

  • i have both p90x and the insanity workout. go with p90x first. if you are inactive as you say you are, then you don't want to throw yourself right into insanity and possibly hurt yourself real bad, you know? because IT IS intense. go with p90x, it should get you in shape for the crazy amounts of cardio of insanity

  • Look up Dallas Carter. He lost 190 lbs with P90X... he only used cardio for almost a year and when he started, he couldnt' finish the warmup, but he pushed play everyday and now he is superfit! Listen to your body, but be consistent with movement and food intake everyday!

  • so p90x or insanity ahaha

  • P90x for variety and being able to tailor to your needs--- this is based on Dallas' experience :)

  • ppl this is not bull

    it will hurt

    you may cry

    but you will get results

  • I'll try to link my results! I finished the program! :)

  • Look up "Insanity Final Results paraisoat"

  • im only a week within the workout and im getting so damn tired but i cant believe it ive gotten two pack abs on the top and my bottom ones are coming in i cant wait for next week! haha sorta

  • yeah I saw it more on the top and a lot later on the bottom ones too! I wish I didn't break so much between insanity and revabs though... I might have had some real real abs by now! Keep on moving though!!! :)

  • Hey!

Well i've been doing this for almost 50 days, and it is awesome. I am very lazy, i cant denny it, but this turnued me on. At first, it was really a pain, and when everything turns into MAX it is way worst. But i gotta say it, i change the pain for the plesure, coz i see the results i've always wanted, and just make me keep pushing, and 'dig deeper'. Stick with it :D

    Cheers

  • awesome awesome awesome

  • Stick with it! I'm on week two and I'm dyin but its awesome!

  • I've had a crazy journey so far! But pushing through! Thank you!!! :)

  • hi i jus ordered the dvd's, should i still run prior or after the workouts? and i mean right before starting or right after finishing

  • It's a very sweaty workout..I wouldn't run before..you might have the energy after for a short run. But, save your energy for the first few days. A lot of plyo,,.

  • I don't run... but I might suggest going for it after... but replenish a little with some recovery drink prior to the run, especially in month two! I noticed even the video people start drinking their orange recovery drink during the workouts!

  • you need to operate your body at 50-60 percent of you max heart rate in cooldown phase and probably do some static stretches for 3-5 minutes to finish it off. i dont know how sore you're going to be the next day tho. but if you cool down properly, you shouldn't be as sore.

  • i'm in my recovery of insanity but i c some changes not drastic ones....so my question is in month 2 do u c the big changes in the body?

  • I can't say the changes have been huge. I think all throughout this, the change is very gradual. You can see my 5 week progress and then take a look at my final in a week and a half.

  • Did you stink really bad after this workout???

  • I don't recall...

  • Good job! For your next workout you should look up Ross Enamait. His workouts are insane!

  • Thanks NIck! JUST did! Very good ideas! Especially the weighted vest moves! Innovative!

  • Dam! Insanity is tight and HARD! i started 2 days ago and the Fit Test was a workout it self! I need to buy the result and recovery formula but i dont want to pay shipping lol. I found a replacement though Endurox R4. Might go buy it tomorrow

  • Thanks for the review. You look great though - don't lose your curves!

  • im on my last day of week 3. keep it up this stuff is crazy

  • You too, Cookie!

  • youre so cute

  • I was wondering how to go about getting that. I'll have to get he one on one especially since it is 1 penny for the first month for coaches right now.

  • Just saw the video for Insanity the other day. Shaun T is soooooooo, in shape lol ^__^

  • Very true, that he is! He is helping all of us get there too! Woohoo!

  • Hell yea I just tried that workout today. They aren't kidding when they say "the hardest workout ever put on DVD" lol. I'll definitely be buying that shit when it comes out.

  • Did you get it yet? How are you doing with it?

  • yeah i got it this morning... today was the cardio recovery day so i couldn't tell the difference between using it or not... I'll get back to you tomorrow after i do the pure cardio... i never drank or ate any supplements before so i can't judge

  • How's everything going? :)

  • going very well... starting week 2 today... do you think the rest day are necessary? i feel like doing the insane abs on rest days.

  • Personally, yes. To help keep you going, I think so. Otherwise you may wear your body out instead of build it up.

  • wait, i dont get how u got the dvd :L

  • Well, I got it with the May 2009 Tony Horton One on One DVD! The offer is over now, but you can buy the whole program, mid-June 09. Get it from your BeachBody coach, or if you don't have one, you can buy from my site and I will become your coach for FREE :)

  • So would you say this the best workout you have tried yet?

  • hmmm... that's hard to say. For cardio and sweat...yes! Spinning class is the closest that I have gotten to that kind of heart work and sweat. I've done a lot of different workouts.. Bas Ruten, Rudy Reyes, Choy Li Fut, P90x, Hip Hop Abs.. they all have their awesomeness. Just right now, I want to focus on cardio and no weights, so right now, Insnaity is perfect!

  • I got it for free when I bought the Tony Horton 'One-on-One' workout

  • Wow! Lol It looks like it really works! I want to try the insanity when it comes out! Beachbody has the best fitness programs I have ever seen!

  • Your enthusiasm and support, just rocks! I agree with you about the BeachBody programs!
