@thetricksterof2010 Watch the movie. Aron Ralston said it was REALLY accurate, so the scene must be something like that. But he doesn't really release the tapes to public people, just very private people, like the director & Franco & maybe his parents or something. But not to everybody.

I just watched it tonight. The ticket guy commented that he saw it and really enjoyed it. So I asked him, if I'd be crying. He said no. Wrong! I cried NUMEROUS times! I almost cried out loud enough for others to hear. It was deep seated crying. I really got into this film It was done so well. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Wyominglost, I don't think you're quite grasping the essense of his experience and everything that happened to him. He was lead to that moment/experience because of the course he had taken before it happened. His interpretation of this is exactly what people should interpret. Life gave him an oportunity to change 360 degrees his whole life, the way he behaved towards it, all with this experience. We could all learn from him since most of us are as self-absorbed at some point.

@76Gazz yeah. another heroic story of endurance and survival right there. the man didnt get nearly enough credit in the popular media compared to Andy Mcnab, who grabbed the initial credit and became the most publicised and successful out of the surviving members in spite of his eventual capture. They were all brave, tough men, but Chris really showed the most determination to survive and escape.
