Good lord. That ending makes sense but it sucks golf balls through a hosepipe. The pacing and dialogue are *terrible*. I've no idea how I'd edit that into a snappy ending, and I love this film.

that ending was so cheezy. reminds me of the end of king lear. everyone who was running the kingdom, or next in line, is dead. Who ever is left standing gets to rule. volunteering to take a responsiblity doens't mesh with Tg's personality in the rest of the movie. and that close up at the end... pure cheese.
