  • Hey shock, I'm looking to get my motorcycle license and a bike to start riding on. I'm about 6' and around 180 so im thinking I'm going to need a bigger bike. I've been riding dirt bikes my whole life, and i have a very tiny bit of experience of riding a cruiser. I want a sport bike tho, any suggestions? Ive been looking at the CBR600RR. Do you think thats too much of a bike to start with? I plan on riding residential streets but also a decent bit on the freeway too. Thanks and God Bless!!

  • @3:05.....what the heck's these things? Love your play by play.....

  • How many CC does that bike have?

  • "fastest highway in calafornia" zooms past everyone

  • I drive a BMW K1200LT. Have electronic cruise control. I have bad Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from driving truck so My hand falls asleep in 5 minutes of driving. With cruise control I drive one handed switching left and right. Wouldn't drive without it... Nice videos BTW. God Bless..

  • I'll pretty much call you a pro since you can talk and hold a camera on a motorcycle at the same time releasing your hands off and on the throttle.

  • hey, couple questions for you sir; did you get a chance to see what your engine temp does in the city? Also, what kind of oil are you running? Thanks.

  • I haven't changed oil yet so I don't know what's in there I just got bike. But I will be putting in full synthetic Golden Spectro brand most likely this month. The temp is under 200 always on the freeway in 70 degree weather around 189 but on the streets in stop and go with the heat around 95degrees out here in California the bike will hit over 200. I plan on putting in a thicker oil for this heat and then when the weather gets colder maybe a 1040 full synthetic.

  • That's funny, shock.

  • i looked them up there $11 heres the web sight shock

    throttlerocker(dot)com

  • hey thanks that was kind of you to do that I appreciate it.

  • I have a Vista universal (fits most bikes) throttle lock. It is thumb operated and holds the throttle wherever you want so the hand can be removed if needed. It can easily be over ridden and quickly released. Great for long trips.

    To infinity & beyond! :)

  • Every now and again, i stop (40 - 60 miles) and relax for a moment before carring on riding, or i shake my hand around to get the blood going. But before releasing the trottle, go a little faster to give your bike more roll when you let go of your trottle.

  • here's an easy solution. Crotch rockets cause you to put too much weight on your wrists. This cause blood circulation to be reduced. The easiest solution is to buy a cruiser. BTW I have a throttle rocket too.

  • hey man I had a question I don't know why if its just looks or does it help when those guys have ape hangars where the handlebars are way up high. Is that for style do you know or is it beneficial to blood flow in the arms or something? Have you heard anything about that?

  • It is actually bad for them. gravity reduces the blood flow. I hate ape hangers. i have normal handle bars.

  • @shockofgod it's funny, I was at the dealer the other day looking for first bikes (I'm a cruiser guy, being raised on them with my mom and dad riding) but I sat on the rockets just out of curiosity (known affectionately to cruisers as "squids" =P)....you would think that upright, leaning-forward position would actually increase blood flow to your hands...

...and as far as ape hangars...well, all families have to have their runt of the litter, right? :)

  • Sweet vid.
