@FilmmakeroftheFuture yeah all the gods are related in some sort of fashion if you look it up. now the way I've heard the tale it's closer to Disney's meg character in the movie. Persphone was tricked by hades into being his bride, and forever must stay in the underworld with him.

@teamedward92 Unfortunatly no (Hades is the villain, remember ^^) Actually there was a project to make Persephone the daughter of Hades and Demeter (as a divorced couple) and another project to make her a teatcher at Hercules' school, but neither of those saw the light of day...

@TheSylvianln Well as you can see for this video I'm using the Disney version of Hades (from Disney's Hercules). I don't know if you saw this movie, but the truth of the myth is barely respected (Hercules riding pegasus, Hera beeing his mother, Hades being the villain...). So I'm staying in this spirit as I imagine fanfics from this universe. It's not about staying mythologicaly exact, it's about having fun while seeing alusion of myths you know.

@TheSylvianln There are many contested theories. Ok, he kidnapped her, but then did he rape her and she became pregnant with Macaria? Or that he didn't rape her but kept her locked up then fed her the seeds to stop her from leaving when Hermes came to collect her? or was she his prisoner but because he treated her differently to her overbearing mother and actually spoke to her instead of showering her with meaningless presents, that she fell in love with him and took the seeds willingly.

@TheSylvianln You should learn your mythology better. The idea that he forced her came about during the Augustan period in Rome. The original Greek tale, told in the Homeric Hymn to Demeter about 600 years before, says that Hades asked Zeus, her father, for her hand in marriage and Zeus said to take her. He did and Demeter had a fit, wanting Persephone out of the underworld. But Persephone liked being Queen of the Dead and wanted to stay, so she did. I'm a Classics Major, this is what I do.
