hard to choose I like all 3 of them I love rachell ferrell she can really hit the high notes blow the whisltle no doubt Betty Wright hit them but I would have to say Minnie ripperton can really get them but Rachell Ferrell may have won she really holds them out for long periods it seems to me. I'm glad to be able to listen to them all and not have to choose one or the other.

The Rachelle Ferrell clip in round 3 is pretty amazing for two reasons: 1.) the power tone and highness of that miraculous note WHOA!!!!! 2.) The reaction of the audience, does something to me, absolutely amazing. Love it! To tell the truth, they are all absolutely amazing.... I mean that sustained F6 from Bettye! Having a wide range must be nice :)

No one gets such feeling and sensitivity into their whistle register as Minnie.

Indeed Rachelle and Betty are great gymnasts up high but hey! are we talking about singing herein or gymnastics.

Minnie on the other hand can make you cry with her high notes, whereas the other two can at best merely titillate.

No competition ~ sorry. As the song goes ~ Minnie, Minnie, Minnie, Minnie ~ MINNIE.

In round one...Minnie's 29 second note on "Inside My Love" would go up against Rashelle's extended whistle notes...All ladies have really strong notes...but IMO Minnie still takes it because she could actually SING LYRICS in her whistle register...and you could clearly hear what she was saying.

Right! I love watching the videos of her live performances, like the one for "Memory Lane" * I think it was the Merv Griffin show*...she hits those high notes and doesn't bat an eye. Same for the live performance of "Inside My Love".

Minnie sound the best. All of them are good and have control over their techniques but they need to work on their pitch. Minnie's whistle notes are pleasurable to the ear while the others give me an ear ache. LOL. Kudos to them though!!!
