No...Die cast hoops are original in this Deluxe snare from Orion series ;-)

I have make real sound of my snare's with a shure SM57 ;-)

yeah SM57 is a good classic mic! Very similar to the Audix i5 but a little mellower. Can you record your snares using an SM57 so we can hear what they sound like?
