Beautiful forms work. Nice distribution of geng force from the elbow to wrist. Your bridge is solid through the finger strike. Thank you for sharing this performance.
well... i could be wrong, as the system i practised has only a little bit of praying mantis stuff, but it seems like northern praying mantis uses the actual mantis hand position to strike vital areas and hook your opponents strikes, southern praying mantis focuses more on the praying mantis's use of quick, sudden, short strikes to shock it's opponent. you might be thinking of the nothern style
@angelloakira Watch Sifu James Camas explanation of Southernmantis technique. It with practice becomes more of an internal feeling and manifestation of the insect . But you can feel the lighting quick movements , grabing, sticking , leg movement & striking of the praying mantis bug when you become the form. Or watch it closely and you can sense it. .
@dreamcastII that is a question that would require much more space than a comment page could hold...I am just a novice in SPM and the applications are varied and effective once conditioning and training reach a capable level.
Nicely developed ging! I worked on this form a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We play it differently (Malcome Sue's way) but yeah, seeing this made me wanna fire it up again. Nice. :)
