I just noticed something. In Adventure 01, the pattern is that a new evolution is revealed, to defeat the villain of that arc. With Devimon, it's Angemon. With Etemon, it's Metalgreymon. With Vandemon, it's Angewomon. With VenomVandemon, it's Metalgarurumon and Wargreymon. With Piedmon, it's MagnaAngemon. After Piedmon, all the Digidestined's digimon are of the Ultimate level(minus Tai and Matt's, who are of the Mega), all ready to fac the final villain, Apocalymon.
