  • could this work with a 9v battery..?

  • I can't get mine to work. why blue or white leds"

    Why is the color important???

  • You sure you had the battery hooked up right, looked like it was going up when disconnected from the jouelthief, to charge is positive to positive, negative to negative. Of course you can connect a battery in reverse to charge if its in a series design in middle of other batteries, see my site on my profile to see the experiments I did with that one.

  • Hello Paul..

Wonderful vid, Congra... you got it !

I got two 4.5v batt, one for source, one for charge, but intend to connect to a fugi board with your JT circuit saw on the forum, if i make slayer's big JT coil, 4.5v but your circuit, use 1 or 2 2N2222?

is LED 3.5v? the circuit show 2K, means?? winding turns?

    Thank you

  • good job

  • Now that is interesting!!! LED is by itself so efficiend lighting device, but if increased even more...that is succsess!

How to make one Joule Thief?

  • Im doing a test on this circuit now with a battery swapper to see how long it will light and charge an AA battery from an AA Battery (Nicads) They are both 550 mAh.

Video to come but probably in a couple of weeks!

    Paul

  • I think it will not work, because (I think) those AA batteries will not take charge very good...Maybe you just use big capasitor banks and try whit them?

When will you release "How to" video or will you?

    Thank you for good work!

  • Cheers.

Im going to post the circuit soon, I sketched it out today.

Ill do a video when I get a chance...

    Paul

  • The Link to the Circuit is in the info at the top....

  • Very informative video(s)! May I ask the model of Fluke VOM you use?

    Keep up the good work!

    RL Atlanta, GA USA

  • Thanks, its a 73III Fluke.

  • Good job. I think your on to something there. The use of this idea in e-cars would be grate. You agree?

  • Cheers, Yes if you can recover any power back it would make the e-car have a longer range.

    Paul.

  • great work, 5 stars....

  • Thanks, I think I have a theory to half the battery consumption and double the brightness.

Ill do a video tomorrow if I get chance...
