  • thumbs up if you think that your fifa 98 had better graphics

  • I bought fortius, and disappointed.

1)3D in virtual reality is primitive, (the graphics level at about 1997-2k year) "Real video trainings" have a poor quality, but some times quality is really disgusting!

But ok, eventually i bought it not for just play.

2)Trainer almost immediately stops, if i stop pedaling. That's really annoying when i try to take a breath at downhils!

3)Motor stuck (every time) if i try to make a burst acceleration!

    4)Unrealistically low resistance to movement.

  • What about Downhill and Dirt Jumping?

  • check my no nonsense view of tacx vr trainer its a most watch if planning on buying one of these !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want this thing!!! Season is so short in central russia, just 4-6 month of comfortable riding :(

  • @MetaJamm its even less in scotland

  • these trainers would be awesome if the software actually worked. go to tacx.com, and read the forum on their website, and read all the complaints

  • are you able to steer yourself into cars?!

  • No mat on the floor? After a good 30 mins of pedalling, he'd have wished he'd put a mat down as residual oil and dirt will come off the bike and make a nice mess of that carpet..

  • omg , what a fail

  • he's racing guys on mtn bikes and he gives himself a road bike for a road course. what a sandbagger

  • @xccrider and still he's having a hard time haha

  • So now it's ok to use gears and beat a track bike in a velodrome... Good luck.

  • Why is he always dry? :)

  • @Leondb3 Adopted for your speed.

  • wow this is hilariously bad.

  • This looks pretty primitive for my taste..........oh well !

  • Where's his helmet and bike gloves?

  • why did he gel his hair up

  • I'm looking at the speedmatic...anyone have some info on it?

I really want the virtual reality too that'd be sick I think.

  • good for canadians!

  • paris boubiax as well

  • That would pretty much screw your lovely carbon bike though if you were going that hard on a trainer wouldn't it?

  • What about actually taking a ride outdoors? Isn't this just silly???

  • No, actually...not silly. Not if you aren't lucky to live near a safe, accessible bike route or are in a northern latitude where your cycling season is four months. I have owned a Tacx Fortius for two years and I love the thing. Instead of having to install my bike rack, load the bike and fight freeway traffic, I turn on the CPU and in five minutes am happily cycling. I have a choice of routes from VR to Mallorco to Durango. The result is that I bike more often and enjoy it more.

  • @mnemonth

It looks pretty nice. About how much would it cost?

  • @backlippy777 I think I paid around $1100 US; that was with the steering option. You can steer in the VR courses; the real world videos are, of course, linear only. It really is a great thing to have around if your biking options are restricted.

  • 2:49 Man he is going so fast he went through the other guy!

  • This video is very well done. The bike is not that exciting, but the music really keeps the intensity up. I think it's funny that it said he was going 56km/hr, but on the screen, it looked like he was going 10mph.

  • It looks a nice day so why the hell is he indoors/

  • its very unpractical. I would put this bicycles in gym and make ppl generate electric energy. They would certainly make something together (like 100+ people) and they wouldn't have to pay for gym because they would earn on theirselves

  • @thegoodhen that is already done in a restaurant someone talked me about.

They go in,choose what they want to eat, and then before sit down to eat, they ride the bike enough to pay what they choosed for. That is very pratical :)

  • @MONTARE9 maybe because he lost his front wheel. Or he rather enjoy the ugly computer grafic.

  • @MONTARE9 becuase he wants to be virtuly outdoors lolz

  • @MONTARE9 Are you going to Heaven?

  • @MONTARE9 not sure, maybe he doesnt have a front wheel?

  • Awesome! Makes exercise more enjoyable. I just posted something similar which I built myself for my elliptical machine.

  • It's not VR if you see thirdperson... its just a fancy game controller.

  • yeah i said to myself all that is is the nintendo WII game technology

  • @InnerMobius There are options for the camera view--first-person, third-person and, if I recall a tracking view. It is a fancy game controller, in a sense. The beauty part is that the rolling resistance varies with the terrain in both the VR and RealWorld modes, so it's an enhanced simulation and a better workout.

  • It would be nice if I could ride through someone on the velodrome in real life too.

  • lol @ roadpaint around 3:09

  • wow great job in noticing. that's hilarious! ^^

  • rofl, must have hired some ex disney artists who make the spiral penises in aladin.

  • anyone know the name of the song that comes on first

  • menuda gilipollez

  • Tacx manuals are written by goddamned IDIOTS! "take spring I, put it in port 5 through the bolt Q"

WTFF! and I can't find a goddamned manual that would tell me how to get the damn thing re-assembled. DAMMIT!!!!! DAMIIT! TACX! You're a bunch of frikkin morons!

  • Roadies never cease to totally out-dork themselves.

  • Cyclist is pretty cute. He'd be prettier outside, though.

  • Cool concept but the commercial a bit over the top in imo not in touch with real cyclists. What 24 yo cyclist (who's not a pro) lives in a house like that?!

  • SUPPA BAIKA

  • This would be nice for the off season up here in Erie.

  • go outside.

  • it's a way to stay fit, and a way to play a videogame... cool

  • I'd rather just watch a movie.

  • how so adding entertainment to training and weightloss to people that want to but have a bad atention span and get bored of stuff like that easy makeing it into a game would make it alot more tolerable >.> personaly i would like something like this would make keeping fit alot more fun =\

  • yup, you are right. But in a perfect world I would prefer a bike :).

  • to bad the world isent perfect thats the only thing thats stoping me from agreeing with you if something isent perfect and there is no way to make it perfect then why not make something else that fits your description of perfect :P

  • Absolutely not. Every serious cyclist has a trainer and/or rollers. They can sometimes build technique and fitness much faster than riding outside can, they can simulate climbs up steep mountains, etc.

This is not like just buying a wii to have fun. This is to help serious, competitive cyclists stay fit when they can't get outside or aren't in a place to do the kind of work they need, like climbing.

  • I couldn't stop laughing while watching this. I have no idea why.

  • Would be a hell of a lot more interesting if there was NYC Bike Messenger mode... complete with people spitting out of car windows, opening doors in your path, blocking bike lanes, cabbies out to kill you, and vomit on every curb you have to hop to clear. Now THAT would be Virtual Reality.

  • Awesome. Bike messengers are fit as a fiddle, too.

  • @BellaCroix which is known outside cycling and modern warfare 2

  • @BellaCroix yeah lool and you get hurt when you hit a car and end up in the hospital

  • Had to laugh. Look at background in the video -- it's a beautiful day outside and the guy's inside riding a trainer! LOL!

  • would be interesting with like a headset veiw or something.. xD

  • thats not virtual reality.. its a bike controller...

    -.-

  • wiiBiike

  • Well, I would hardly call that virtual reality, the bike is just a large controller that requires you too pedal.

    Interesting, nonetheless

  • My fat cunt bellend brother has a version of this....virtual white van man. The aim is to knock off cyclists, shout "wanker" at everyone and stay as close as possible to other traffics ass. The training has paid off, as he's now doing a 5 stretch for dangerous driving, and as there is no room, he's in a nonce wing ha ha.

  • Yeah I too had a version of this mine was virtual cabbie. I had to be a big, fat, smelly knobhead this I found difficult my brother would be ok though. Anyway I'm in the ossie at the mo coz I crashed my taxi into a wall. My fare and his young chicken were busy wanking in the back and there was spunk everywere all over my glasses. No fare no tip fuck all!

  • This video is the PERFECT length!

  • Looks good but the power brake has a fault and the thing will stop working. Service is very poor.

  • i found this song under matrix soundtracks it was called "Soundtrack - Matrix Reloaded - Disc 1 - 11 - Fluke - Zion"

  • does anyone know what this tune is called

  • haha and at the end you will have a cube-like stomach and a cube like head^^

  • Seems like a fun machine!

    great video!

  • Has anyone experience with this Tacx VR?

    How real are the videos?

  • the videos from the tour are incredibly real, there are shot from the tour... the other ones are just vr tyhough

  • nice but how about go to a bike ride in reality?

  • hey try to go for a bike ride in alaska when its -60 outside... nice

  • Or even here in a Wisconsin winter, I ride all summer (the real thing) and jones (and get fat) all winter. I want one of these it would be so much better than my trainer for winter.

  • fajne mozna sie na żywo ścigać :)

  • what happens if you run into something? does the bike like shock your nads?

  • Needs a cheap, high quality VR headset to be any fun.

  • I like the wii way better :D

  • Excellent Video presentation, far better than the sites own one. Love e for one day a lower price unit for econmy wise. thanks for sharing.
