Teddy Pendergrass was at one time during the mid seventies and early 80s a household name in the R&B world. He started out singing with a group called Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes. They had hit records such as "The Love I Lost", "I Miss You", "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and "Wake Up Everybody". Teddy was the lead vocalist on those songs. In 1977 Teddy left the group to persue a solo career which was very successful for a number of years.
I used to make the DJ in the booth on the corner play this every morning, 5 minutes after I walked past his window...just enough time to get to my office and turn on the radio.
great song that causes a lot of different emotions. like wanderlust, romantic feelings of course, aspiration, satisfaction... a very good song to dream and dance. music at its best.
I was jammin with this over and over when I was 6 when this came out and I miss the Video of this on Video Soul, Does anyone have the video of this?? Please post it!!
