  • It's so funny when he gets sad :D

  • wow why didn't DSP do this instead of breaking in through the back?

  • i think almost all of us gave up and killed them all lolz

  • I shot all of the cops dead... Now it feels to me that ive missed out on the side story :(. Wish i could redo the mission, because when i came out of the station, the police started shooting me, so i had to kill 'em too...

  • i was play this mission so many time that i know before you talk with him you must talk to the man in front of the door(he will decline you get in) and go back to talk with him by chose ABSOLVE every answer then you get pass this mission.

  • Am I only one who killed everyone in there? :D

  • @tenconikdynepracuje you are a sick person

  • @73hd99w it was my first try! :D I didn´t know what to do :D

  • fuck! :D i´ve killed ´em all :D seriously :D

  • Helpp, I started killing the cops inside and now when I go outside, all the armoured guys go after me...It's hard to kill them all lmao

  • i fucked up the conversation, how do i get in now? the backentrance is blocked by electrical wires. :S

  • I love this guy's voice actor. He put so much feeling into this part it almost felt real.

  • I have to say, this convo system is better than anything Bioware ever came up with. Still like their games tho.

  • is this like fallout???

  • why the fuck is everyone obsessed with putting games like this against mass effect, there both really good games, chill the fuck out

  • i make hin cry, it was so sad!

  • fuck you! I've just spent over an hour trying to make it past this map and it's kicking my ass. lol

  • i havent played through the whole game yet but this was the best conversation i have ever heard in any media. EVER.

  • What happened to the rest of that social enhancer data, with the personality and all? Doesn't seem to be in the 360 version.

  • When I played the leaked beta I had gotten into the station through talk, too. I mostly used Absolve, though.

  • I walked in and everyone was on alert! I hadnt done anything! so I went outside and everyong was shooting me, I reloaded it and ended up going right through the station. without a doubt the hardest bit so far for me (I am a lot further now)

  • Yeah, if he loses his temper you need to do something to calm him down, and if he gets a little too tearful being nice will often cause him to think you're being patronising. And those two emotions seem random, so you can't just pick the same options on every playthrough.

  • What version of the game is this?

The facial expressions seemed more realistic in this video.

I got this game for this PS3 and for some reason during conversations the facial movement aren't that realistic or even the body movements.........

  • @SolBuster This is the PC version. The better animations you see are most likely due to the higher frame-rates seen on PC's due to more powerful hardware.

  • i did this without social enhancer

  • If I do this can I still go back later on without having to sneak in??

  • @ShadowSamurai922 yes.. but doing this will have some consequences. Red the description for spoiler.

  • I had to freaken sneak in the back and it was impossible to stealth it. So i had to go and kill every single fucker in there. Even The guy on the front desk

  • @gatsbymovingrubber get the first cloak-aug and you should be able to sneak in easy ;)

  • @DiemetriX it really is almost impossible sneak in without Cloaking I swear theres only one specific way that works, I had to CONSTANTLY reload. But eventually I did it and then I found the lobby...

  • @DiemetriX where can you sneak in?

  • @MrSuperprogamer01

I think it's through the sewers...and then up on the "other side", kind of behind the police station and then use a box to reach a ladder...I learned about this when I had to escape from the police station since they all started to shoot at me all at once when I started hacking some door :') stupid me...

  • Ha ha. I forgot how silly Detroit accents sound.

No offense to any Detroiters who happen to read this.

  • The fun thing is that there's an element of randomness in conversations. On my playthrough he reacted very badly when i tried to be nice while on an other it worked. Best conversation system ever!

  • @Brainless78 I was doing the whole "pull yourself together, it's not your fault" thing, and he was close to tears coming to realization. This game has a pretty damn good conversation engine-thing.

  • @DiemetriX Did you get the "Social Enhancer" aug to help you convince him?

  • Damn, that was good, and knowing he's gonna get fired makes me want to sneak in :(

  • now that is what i call being a silver tounged devi... i mean angel

  • awesome :D

  • I was able to get in by crush, empathize, crush, and then 'We can put it behind us.'

I enjoy how when I tried that technique again on my second run through, he totally blocked me out and I had to go through the roof. The actual dynamics of his emotions changed, and the things I said to trigger my entry didn't work even though they did the other time.

Absolutely brilliant. Can't wait to buy this.

  • I'm glad to see a good RPG's coming out.

  • Day 1 buy.

  • There was more emotion in that conversation than every conversation in Mass Effect 2.

  • @RamboStu

This game we'll hopefully show that Bioware just isn't cutting it anymore.

    Everyone needs to buy this.

  • @GhostandChromis bioware's mass effect 3 is going to BE FUCKING AWESOME, but besides that , yea, it sucks,

  • @dfghj241

Mass Effect 3 is going to be a fucking awesome action game, but a mediocre RPG.

  • @mightyshockwave well, for me the game at least show some respect for the genre when you can customize your self, in this game you can now customize even your guns, and the armour making was pretty cool, they should've added more pieces and stuff, its a decent old style rpg, of the old games were you had to pick your companions because of their powers and make a mix, i love this, i think at least mass effect 1 and 2, as a rpg, is an incredible experience, and i doubt ME3 is going to be any worse

  • @GhostandChromis what exactly is Bioware making that's not "cutting" it anymore?

  • @Khalirei

Gee I don't know. Maybe Jade Empire, Sonic, sonic chronicles, ME2, DA:O and DA2? Bioware has been shit for years now

  • @Nattewaterlelie Jade Empire was a great game, Mass Effect 2 was a step up in story telling, gameplay not as much but hardly a reason to say it's shit. Dragon Age Origins was amazing, and Dragon Age 2 is where it sucked. Clearly you don't like ANYTHING they make.

  • @GhostandChromis

BioWare's still good - this one had a *damn* good grounding to build off of, though. And we've yet to see how the rest of the game plays out. But between this and how you can deal with Sanders earlier on, I placed a preorder.

  • @GhostandChromis im hoping mass effect 3wil be more in depth..when me 1 came out i was like YES i haven't had a game good like this since deus ex (1 not IW....) but then me 2 came out and I was like...why did they not improve upon the story development..hopefully they learned their lesson.

  • @RamboStu I'm looking to get your medal smelted now, sir. I'm beyond ecstatic I'm not the only person to think that. I haven't beaten the game yet, but so far this conversation stands out, as real. Confused, hurting, angry, defensive, and through it all, just seeking the approval of a man he has to pretend he hates for his own pride.

When was the last time a game ever had facial responses to words MID-sentence?

The writing was perfect. The acting was perfect. Even the music was perfect.

  • @RamboStu hey dont go hating on mass effect

  • @RamboStu Even tho i am gay for mass effect, i have to agree.

  • >personality type

    alpha

    beta

    omega

  • The voice of the male charachter is horrible.

  • @MrFriendlyFella

I agree, but it's Deus Ex tradition to have a gravelly main character. Try listening to JC Denton's lines in the first.

  • @MrFriendlyFella umm...you dont pick your sex in Deus Ex.

  • @TheRPGguy94 I meant main charachter

  • More emotion than all Bethesda games ever

  • Bioware could learn something from this.

  • The music, the voice acting and the facial animations make this particular sequence very memorable.

  • there really no point in that psycholigical profile aug, these can be done with intuition, pretty useless aug tbh

  • @moinsyyed I agree. But I'm using a fully maxed character in this video. All the beta augments are there.

  • @moinsyyed The Psychological Profile aug is coupled with the "Alpha, Beta, Omega" then which has it's own separate system to it and with that; you can "win" a conversation by selecting the right choice out of those three or get more information (Slash items) out of someone. There is actually another outcome using the Alpha/Beta/Omega thing where he lets you in but gets rather pissed.
