I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing Adam in August. Of all the concerts I've been to, the best performers by FAR were Steven Tyler (incredibly dynamic) and Mick Jagger. I am more than confident that Adam will be equally - and more - amazing than they were.

The Twirl is great some performances he does not do it. I think it adds extra flar and drama. Great coat for that affect. Just love to watch all the performances. Adams voice is right on in Dallas. I went to Sacramento show. His vice was beautiful that night too.

You are not a paid performer at 10 It was a drama group. How many of the other Idol contestants performed in local groups had singing lessons and even performed for money. Really if you are serious about singing etc. you work at it. Please I dont know where some people are coming from. ADAM Just is that MucH BETTeR. He just needed a platform. It is a tough competitive world in show biz that is Why AI is a great Show it provides a place for all the little guys. Think about it

And FTR -- lots of folks who don't know or care about AI, know about Adam Lambert. He has gotten so much mainstream press publicity that unless you deliberately live under a rock, you've heard the name Adam Lambert. I know so many people who never watch AI, but know and love him. He transcended the show.

I've never watched AI. Just as AI was winding up the season, I saw a piece on the online news, got curious, and clicked over to youtube. One video and I was a huge fan - I'm going to the concert and hope to go to many more to see Adam. His talent, beauty inside and out, and just plain total sexiness - wow. Mike Stand is a lucky piece of metal.

It never fails to amaze me how humans just cannot let things be what they are. I figured some morons would start up with the protests. Lambert is good, very good. I am sure he will do well. As for his sexual preference, leave him alone. Most times people critisize what they feel is a threat.

luv, that's actually not true in the USA, though I can't speak of Europe and Asia, etc. The HUGE todo the press made of his sexual preference garnered a ton of publicity in the mainstream press. "Did you know Adam Lambert is gay?" became a catchphrase. Everyone I know, including very conservative folks and people who never watch TV, knew who he was. AND at least half the women were positively impressed, once they listened to him or watched him. The straight men were - confused. :D

I think he's definitely the biggest American Idol star..before he even releases an album. You obviously don't like him, but u don't have to.

Adam has been working in theater for approx. 8 yrs, which is not most of his life, since he's 27....is it so terrible that Adam decided that he wanted bigger and better things after doing theater for so long? How does that hurt him...don't people change careers all the time? I'm glad we now know of Adam Lambert, he's supposed to be famous!

Check it out. He has been a PAID performer since he was 10. I have no problem with Adam other than the competition being unfair with the others. Not his fault. I don't blame him for taking advantage. Nobody stopped him. I think he's great but way too much competition for kids that haven't spent most of their life on the stage. Other than that I'm a real fan.

I don't think it's fair to hold that against Adam, i mean, his brother was exposed to the same stuff and he didn't turn out the same. Watching the finale, i also felt the David vs. Goliath thing, which led me to not vote for Adam. I kinda regret that now, but oh well......

Also, if it was such an unfair advantage, then why didn't he win? Lastly, if it was that simple, then all theater kids would be able to acheive his status. Just accept that he is extraordinary.

luvstrixie, I find AI boring and had never watched more than a few minutes of it prior to Adam appearing on the scene. I doubt I'll watch any AI next year. If you read enough internet posts you'll see this demo describes many of Adam's fans. In fact some AI fans are very irritated with Adam fans because more than a few are interested in him & him alone and ignore other idols.

The rule is that the performer cannot be under contract as a recording artist. Adam was not. Theater experience had absolutely no bearing on eligibility or fairness whatsoever. AI is a singing contest with a recording contract as the prize. Adam BROKE NO RULES WHATSOEVER.

The protesters planning to be at this show were the Westbury lot - the lovely family who also think it is right to protest at the homecomings and funerals of dead soldiers - not the handful that decided to get together to pass the time at San Jose.

They have published a list of the AI dates that they plan to protest at.

I was at this concert and Adam was amazing! As for your comments on why he had that extra spark --well I didn't see any protesters, but I did see Drake dancing and enjoying Adam's set (like the rest of us) so I choose that reason.

He was mesmerizing & exciting in black leather, jet black hair falling across his forehead, eyes lined in smoky black kohl- it is this image of Elvis that Adam is frequently compared to.
