i used to make video blogs. and a friend of mine saw this video and apparently thinks you're the female version of me. now they keep laughing at me, but i dont care. vblogs are cool. um.... anywho, about rendering..... use windows movie maker, if you have it. it reduces the size of video files quite a bit. the program also lets you adjust the size of your file before you render it, as well. k, there's my 2 cents! peace, yo.

sure, its probably in the format of Avi or Mpeg, and both of those formats are very big chunks of data, just download a program to convert avi and mpeg to mp4 because mp4 is a format youtube accepts and very small. Look on Google for a good converter. Good luck XD

if you have no idea what to do at an anime convention as an attendee, i highly recommend volunteering on their staff. theres nothing better about an anime con than going there for free while looking at all the cool (and hilariously bad) cosplay. i did it for 2 years and loved it :)
i go to tokyo every summer, actually i was born there. a few recommendations are go to harajuku for shopping or roppongi. if you want something "bunkka-teki" go to asakusa. if you have more questions just hit me up with a message

You absolutely should be excited about Japan. I like Kyoto and Osaka the best for a cultural experience. I'm going to Tokyo in June. My goal is to see geniuses Takagi Masakatsu and Hiromi Uehara ( You do know about her - right?), but that's a stretch.

About Japan^^ I Love IT!! I would say go to Nagasaki, the sight is so beautiful espeically Glover park, There also is Mount Inasa were they have a observation platform , it is such a beautiful sight.but what i liked the most was the Confucius Shrine.Oh you just have to go see it!!^^

Hiya. Akihabara is loud and annoying and full of sweaty people (even in winter). It is not even a good place to buy electronics or anime goods anymore. If you are into music and fashion, check out used records and clothing in Shimikitazawa and Shin-Koenji. There are also good CD shops in Ochanomizu.

If you get a chance and have the money, take a day trip to the seaside town of Kamakura. It has a really refreshing atmosphere, especially if you are going to be in Tokyo the whole time. It's also the home of a giant Buddha statue.
I am going to japan during christmas. I am using some info from japantravelinfo. com so there's very useful informations. I learn from the website in major cities, they can speak English.

Delete the offensive stuff from creeps! Many beautiful places in Japan. Be prepared for culture shock even if you speak the language. Visit the cities, but don't stay on main island. Go south go north and reach to the extremes, you will be amazed at how beautiful it is! For video converting? Only one can do them all and it's free. "Super" video and audio converter!
I usually use the DivX converter; went so far as to actually shovel over the $20 when the trial period expired. Otherwise, I can't do anything over 4 minutes 'cause that's when it hits 100 Mb!

As for the video settings, my recommendation to you would be to look into a free program called "Virtual Dub". Besides being free, it's also one of the most powerful and open (as in very flexible) editing options and it lets you choose whatever plugins you want to use. I recommend either the official Divx or the free Xvid ones =)

You absolutely should be excited about Japan. I like Kyoto and Osaka the best for a cultural experience. I'm going to Tokyo in June. My goal is to see geniuses Takagi Masakatsu and Hiromi Uehara ( You do know about her - right?), but that's a stretch.
Get excited - it's an exciting place. You're lucky.

I've been wanting to go to japan since 4-5th grade (just finished my first year of college.) My dad did the same, told me I could go for years and it's finally happening :D I'm also going in July lol (20th-31st) やーたー！！！

About Japan^^ I Love IT!! I would say go to Nagasaki, the sight is so beautiful espeically Glover park, There also is Mount Inasa were they have a observation platform , it is such a beautiful sight.but what i liked the most was the Confucius Shrine.Oh you just have to go see it!!^^

best of luck in japan! though you probably won't need it since you speak japanese far better (and more naturally) than i do, though i'm only a 2nd-year student at a university :). i'm going to study in the intensive (probably intense) japanese language program at waseda next year after taking 3rd-year intensive at my university this summer though, so hopefully i get better. keep up the good work!

^^ Nice vid Emily, although you seem kind of down...are you ok? xp You are so lucky to be going to Japan! Plus you can wow the locals with your pretty intense speaking skillz. Hope you had fun at the con (I'm a cosplayer so I ALWAYS have fun at conventions ^^) and yeah...have fun at life and stuff. =] Oh and I've decided to do Japanese and Asian studies at university now so yay! Keep up the goood work, and I gotta admit, Anime con's are kinda weird, and I can only stand to be there for like a max of a hour since theres nothing really to do except go to the dealers.. room, that would interest me anyways.

Hiya. Akihabara is loud and annoying and full of sweaty people (even in winter). It is not even a good place to buy electronics or anime goods anymore. If you are into music and fashion, check out used records and clothing in Shimikitazawa and Shin-Koenji. There are also good CD shops in Ochanomizu.

If you get a chance and have the money, take a day trip to the seaside town of Kamakura. It has a really refreshing atmosphere, especially if you are going to be in Tokyo the whole time. It's also the home of a giant Buddha statue.

Use RadVideo tools to make you movie files smaller. radgametools. com/smkdown.htm\

Do the following for the video:
1. Reduce the resolution.
2. Reduce the frame rate.
3. Increase the key frame rate
4. Change the compressor. (which is what radvideo tools is for).

Delete the offensive stuff from creeps! Many beautiful places in Japan. Be prepared for culture shock even if you speak the language. Visit the cities, but don't stay on main island. Go south go north and reach to the extremes, you will be amazed at how beautiful it is! For video converting? Only one can do them all and it's free. "Super" video and audio converter!

I usually use the DivX converter; went so far as to actually shovel over the $20 when the trial period expired. Otherwise, I can't do anything over 4 minutes 'cause that's when it hits 100 Mb!

Great update. Enjoy the anime convention...I haven't been to one in ages either (7 years?) and congrats on the new camera and trip to Japan ^_^ I'm so jealous...
As for the video settings, my recommendation to you would be to look into a free program called "Virtual Dub". Besides being free, it's also one of the most powerful and open (as in very flexible) editing options and it lets you choose whatever plugins you want to use. I recommend either the official Divx or the free Xvid ones =)
