  • See this is a much better ship, the New one looks oddly shaped and like it is trying too hard to look "New"

I can't imagine the Scotty in TOS being proud of this ship, On K7 he would've joined the Klingon's on bashing the enterprise.

  • this is good, but also, i like the Abrams reboot ship, sure , we as fans can find things we dont agree with or want to pick on, but, even the Roddenberrys, gave it a double thumbs up, and thats good enough for me

  • I like the new Enterprise. Always have been a fan of the Constitution-class starship in any shape or form.

  • Yeesh, looks like I'm the only one on youtube that likes the JJ-prise...

  • @kaisergrendel I don't mind it at. some hate it, but in 1979 my father hated the refit-prise, he saide it look too white, and the nacelles were square and looked too much like the klingon's. but as the movies passed, he learned to love it, I hope jj-prise gets it respect in the sequel

  • @TheInspector3000 Me too, me too...

  • I think that the jj-prise, looked allright, It wasn't the orginal or the refit, but i'm glad it's not, because if it was, then I'd keep going "why are all these models and bad actors on the enterprise, and why did they install a brewery

  • That design is a lot better than the thing they used in the film.

And don't start me on the engine room.

  • @LaughingPsycho What, you don't like the converted brewery?

  • This ship is better than the one used in the new movie however i still maintain THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE LOOK OF THE ORIGINAL!!!!

  • can you upload the drawings?

  • I think that this enterprise is perfect, The TOS enterprise looks so outdated and wouldn't really fit into the 23rd century in my opinion. This actually looks futuristic whilst staying very similar to the original, something that Abrams failed to do :P

  • holy shit ! did you make this vid yourself ?

  • Back to the drawing board mate this ship is ugly.

  • oh the horror! The horror! The low lives have ruined the star trek series time to go to war on paramounts sell out executives! As the daleks say in Dr. Who EXTERMINATE!

  • They should have used this version of teh Enterprise in the new Movie.

  • They should have stayed with this "if it ain't broke don't fix" it version.

  • This move was just another pay check. The people making movies today don't seem to take any pride in their work. its just another pay check to them. They don't even lesson to what the fans what to see.

  • Amen to that.

  • I liked the new movie. The HD enterprise was cool. But I don't get Wye they distorted The Volcon Home world. The time line is screwed up now. it was already screwed up from enterprise.

  • I don't get WHY you can't spell simple words.

    Oh, and it's spelled Vulcan.

  • @Lincoln6Echo1

I started reading nova2384's comment, then started laughing at his spelling. I was about to ask him "Wye" he mentioned the planet "Volcon", then read your comment and nearly laughed up a lung!!!!

  • @PaulMichaels78 that was funny what you said, "and nearly laughed up a lung!!!!" Priceless!!

  • I miss blue phasers

  • They had a good excuse saying that since the time line changed and nobodies future turned out like it was suppose to. For example the main designer of the enterprise could have violently died in a car crash witch would make the constitution class not look anything like its suppose to.

  • Oh now THIS is sexy... god why couldn't they have just updated the original version instead of raped it?

*wheeps on this model and praises god that - at least in the fans mind - the REAL 1701 still exists*

  • @2Scribble i agree one hundred percent. the new Enterprise looks kind of gay. the Constitution from the Original Series is the best.(that and this version.)

  • I agree with the comments being made...this ship is much cooler, sleeker looking ship than the one JJ Abrams used in the movie. It also looks more militaristic. They need to change it up a little for the next movie.

  • this is cooler than what they actually used

  • die hat gar nix mehr mit dem original zu tun

  • Leonard Nimoy in great new bio (All About Jeffrey Hunter) at amazon!

  • Yeah! That looks ALOT better.

This is how the Enterprise should look, or at least look as close to the original as possible as this one does. The latest ST movie was a disappointment as they screwed around way too much with the constitution class design.

  • I still would have like to have seen a star Trek Titan movie. They could have tied it in with the novels. To me Abrams tried to rehash the franchise and then pulled Nimoy in to sugar coat the pill he was having people swallow. I also thought that it was more action than storey line. Star Trek was always known for taking on the issues of the day in a 23rd century setting. That was what made the series and some of the movies work.

  • Star trek ruined new movie blows donkey balls I'm not the only one feeling this way...........

  • amen az

  • I have to agree with azjakeza. The new movie is good, but, in my opinion, it hasn't deserved the Star Trek title. And least of all "XI", or 11. As it doesn't quite... Continue the saga.

Besides that, I like this ship design better than what they used in the movie.

  • @Coresk,

Yes I agree with you for the most part. I do think this ship design is, or would have been, a better choice than the "beefed-up nacelles" version from the movie. But I think XI deserves its place in the Trekiverse. It's not meant to continue the saga, but re-boot it and inject some much-needed pizazz into the ailing franchise. Star Trek got tired, as did Doctor Who. Now Who is bigger and better than ever... and I think Abrams saved Star Trek for the long-term with a new timeline.

  • @PaulMichaels78

Oh yes, I believe it does belong and we DID need something "new". But... Maybe they should've reconsidered the overall design and such...

  • looks like they took the parts from the enterprise-e and decided to build a constitution class instead lol

    pretty cool

  • a messy design,too cluttered.

  • Although my favourite starfleet ship would be either the Promethius or the Intrepid where looks are concerned, the Constitution has a classic feel about it which most certainly wasn't lost in this movie. This movie was a huge gamble on the part of its makers, however it appears to have been successful. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

  • I like how it looks, but the original NCC-1701 Enterprise will always be my favorite.

  • not even close

  • We'd all like more...

  • Great looking ship, except the phasers were moving at the speed of missiles:P They should be projected @ C (light speed).

  • phasers don't propagate at lightppeed. They are exotic particle-beam homogenations. See "Datalore," TNG, for a close-up of the process. They are more like more coherent plasma bursts.

I'm not trying to anger you, just imparting information. I hope you take it as such.

  • I would never be angered by an opinion which does not defy reason. As I have not reasoned your opinion yet, I am in no way frustrated or angered. I will however respectfully say that you are incorrect. This is a fact that has been stated time and time again throughout Star Trek (and the TNG tech manual endorsed and written by Gene Roddenberry and others) that the plasma reaches the pre-fire chamber, and is then projected from the emitter crystal @ C (the speed of light).

  • dude what is she shooting at?

  • I liked it but, the video here was way too short to give you any real idea of what the ship really looks like. I think that all of us would like to have seen a much longer vid!

  • I love this version! It looks so formidable, and so...vicious! ^.^

  • Hey look! Gabriel Koerner's Enterprise. He's very talented. He modeled the Enterprise montage at the end of the otherwise dreadful Enterprise finale "These are the Voyages." He was also featured in "Trekkies." I think he also did some of the modeling for Battlestar Galactica and Speed Racer.

  • They should have used this one in the movie

  • WHO MADE THIS THING!??! it's AWSOME!

  • Looks more like a predecessor to the Enterprise "E" than the original.

  • Is 'thelasthallow' clairvoyant, or just on drugs? "More advanced?" How does he know this? I agree with the person whose comments on this video were censored, that J.J.'s new Enterprise appears to have had the nacelles made to appear like "uncircumsized penises as a wedding present to George Takei."

  • This version of the Enterprise is superior to the one in the new movie.

  • lol i dont think so. if you look this version is using the old Dish while the one in the move is using the newer modle deflector dish.

while this ship is cool the JJprise is more advanced

  • When I saw superior, I mean cooler -not more advanced. This model has the greatest retro look.

  • it does look damn good...

  • ive seen the new film now and have to say the new enterprise is pony compaired to this 1, and what the hell happend to the engineering deck! i think they run out of set budget and filmed it in some old factory to save money

  • they actually DID film it on loction but i think it was a brewery

  • thats how engineering was on the old enterprise... the just didnt have the money to show it....

  • I like this one better than the one used in the new movie.

  • The one in the movie blows, in so many levels that I won't even get started. Call me a nerd, but they ruined the new movie for me.

  • ok...your a nerd.

  • Your a nerd. But I gotta admit this one looks cooler than the movie one and I agree with others comments on Engineering looking too low tech ;)

  • youre a nerd, but I gotta admit you're right.

  • You do realize that this isn't the one their using in the Movie.

  • COOL SHIP!

  • It's a pity they didn't use this design. Definitely superior to the silly 'Cadillac tailfins' design for the new movie.

  • @olbyr it's different times. tos connei would turn off too many people from wanting to watch the movie. the new movie neede to distance it's self from the "star trek is for nerds" image the series has carried for 40+ years. the new one COULD use smaller, sleeker nacelles though. other wise it's very good design.

  • I find it hard to believe that this is a fake, it's so bad-ass. But it's what's to be expected from 21 spec-effects.

  • is this really part of the movie

  • Actually this is more what I expected to see . A little rough around the edges look . Check the other version of the new ship people are posting here . It looks WAY to futuristic to be BEFORE Kirk's ship .

  • This isn't the Enterprise that is in the movie.

  • Oh get over it! You're just ticked off they are trying to make the franchise more mainstream you bunch of mutants!

  • Wow, that's almost as ugly as the last version from Star Trek: Enterprise.

  • i think the computer is sexy. all i know is i looked up ugly and a picture of your family was there

  • oh your nice you are

  • They've Bangled the Enterprise.

Won't be seeing this Trek, for many reasons, including this.

  • my dad and i like star trek

  • They have Ruined the Enterprise

  • they did :´(

  • The new movie Enterprise, as envisioned by Abrams is absolutely beautiful, dont get me wrong, but when I first saw this footage, about a year ago, I got very excited. THIS is what the new movie ship should be like. A pity it wasnt picked up. Even tho this was never commissioned in a series or movie, I still consider this to be a ship most deserving of the name "USS Enterprise"

  • yes, they should have picked this

  • :) this design does look good but shame that its not the official movie ship :( and btw JJ's version was actualy ment to be a cross fusion of the 60s version of the enteprise and his version the reason being is cuz the saucer and the deflector dish are actualy the same as those being used in the entepriseA design.

  • I like this redesigned version of the Enterprise than JJ Abrams redesign.

  • Oops! Sorry ... little mess to clean up. :P

  • Best and most timeless design of a fictional space ship ever. Matt Jefferies was truly a visionary . . .

  • Sounds are apparently louder in space because there's no air to get in the way.

  • Wow that is ass backwards. In space there is no air, thus no sound.

  • Satire.

  • The sound waves need molecules to vibrate to make us hear the sound. A prime example is the air we breathe, it has molecules to make the sounds travel. Space has no air therefore no molecules for the soundwaves to vibrate.

  • And again: SATIRE

  • i recognize this from unused concept designs on one of the star trek movie dvds. forgot which. or was it in that ships of the line book?

  • What the heck did that dust cloud ever do to them to demand such dramatic retaliation?

  • XD rofl in ur dreams.

  • This is not the ENT for the new movie. This is, in fact, Gabriel Koerner's redesign for Jeremy Grunloh's Star Trek Reborn webseries.

  • A new and modern look for the Enterprise (for this generation), is good thing. I mean, if the one and original 1701 look was the best, then Enterprise A through E and J would look exactly the same.

Besides the look, the phaser sound effect is horrible, and what's worse is that its in pulses. *shudders*

  • Nice Tachyon Beam sound effects from SFC3.

  • THIS is meant to be less advanced than all the 1701 refurbs! why dont they just make a post 1701 E movie and be done with it!

  • I have to say though this is a great version of the enterprise. They did a great job of adding more detail to it I for one hope this new movie kicks ass.

  • I think putting Abrams in charge of it was a smart move, because this looks amazing. What they need to do is combne the vigor and style of the original characters and dice it up with modern effects. What the did for effects in the original series was the est they had in the 60's and 70s. why not upgrade? It worked for Badman..? I'm giving it a shot. Besides Quinto as Spock is just gravy...

  • you idiots, this is how he would have wanted it, not just some plain ass shape, its just more detailed, i bet if this ship was really built it would be built like in the new movie

  • agreed matter of fact if gene had rebooted the series himself this is what it would look like looking t this its not hard to imagine he galaxy class being an improvement on this ship down the line

  • so this is ship is not going to be the new enterprise then. i just saw the new one and its really just put me off it.

  • After seeing Abram's Enterprise for the new film, I so wish to god this could have been this enterprise. Abram's certainly dissappointed me. Why mess with something that is so established in our pop culture. I going to save my 12 bucks. Reboot or not, the enterprise in the new movie blows. Thats my Two Cents

  • No way, man - that's your one cent!

I have the exact same opinion. LOL!

There are so many outstanding re imagined versions of the classic Enterprise available on the net and Abram's goes with a design that looks like crap on a stick? I don't get it.

  • I agree man. I'm saving my money. Abrams can kiss my ass with this revisionist non canon bullshit. How could paramount let this travesty happen? Did anyone else notice that the enterprise bridge looks like an apple store?

  • Lads, its all well and good being an uber nerd, but for gods sake.. NONE OF THIS IS REAL!!! its a film, fictional... so take it for what it is, sit back and enjoy.. dont think about it too hard, cos by the early looks of things, this is gonna be a good film.. so who cares if phasers make noise, or if kirk was weapons officer on a different ship first, fact is.. this is a new movie.. so lets, sit back, and wait on it to be released, then judge!!

  • yea but for gods sake can something thats made nowadays stick to continuity of the original stories and not be some new age redone shit that cant really be put in with the rest for the sake of it makeing a lick of sence in a history

  • If the Enterprise is being constructed, shouldn't Chris Pike be the first captin (or Robert April for that matter?). When Pike was commanding the Enterprise Kirk was a weapons officer on the Farraghut.

I just hope the new movie address this issue.

  • Yes, they will! Christopher Pike is mentioned as a character in the movie and played by Bruce Greenwood...

  • OMG SO COOL

  • You know whats funny, you really wouldn't hear anything in space. Nada, nothing....

  • well at the same time, what do u know about PHASER tech, it may have some form of energy that disperses through space, reverberating in such a manner off the hull of the sip you are in to make that sound. Enjoy the concept, not the details, any way, whay would this tick you off about Star Trek? What pisses me off is the language paradox(s) and the FAILED attempt in Voyager at the Universal Translator (Why does it translate everything but Klingnon, idk?).

  • Drama, man. It's all about the drama. However, with new series and such they should do what firefly did and have the music be the sound effects, eh?

  • Great looking ship and awesome blue phasers that actually sound like they could tear through another ship's hull.

  • Where did you get the mesh of the Enterprise?

  • Beeeellllloooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it look good i shall watch new film

  • It's the ENTERPRISE on the harshest of steroids!

  • This is the Gabe Koerner "reimagined" abomination...NOT the Enterprise from the next movie.

  • NOT the new Enterprise. Dish and nacelles don't match the teaser; this is Gabe Koerner's personal design. How many times, and for how long, has this been pawned off as "the new Enterprise?" How many more times will this be sloughed as the new Big-E before the real one is revealed?

Twenty bucks says that when Abrams DOES reveal the prequel Enterprise, someone will still be trying to convince cyberspace this is the new E and Abrams' is the fake.

  • 40 year star trek fan, previous writer of short story trek and one star trek authored novel person here. THIS IS FAKE! It looks nice, thanks gabe! pathfinder...check your facts before you start this stuff with Star Trek. if it anit cannon and you claim it is, you get consumed by the closest black hole while people hurl evil insults at you. You ORION!!!

  • Actally if you pause the trailer right when it comes to the nacelles it looks very similar. The tralier one has the humps right at the the top of the bussard collectors as does this one in this vid. In this vid you see two disks(one on top of the other) moving in the collectors, one moving in the oppsite direction of the other. Where in the trailer one you can see the samething(two disk moving in the same way) Also Koerner worked on Star Trek Enterprise and the Enterprise in this vid is in....

  • The Ships of the Line(Star Trek book) Its listed as being a proposed upgrade that was never used.(would have been about Motion Pic time) Hes also been on Trekkers 1,Trekkies 2. He has also worked as a digital artist for J.J. Abrams in both Alias and Lost.(Abrams is makeing the new trek movie)

  • Look I'm not trying to say that this is the new E. I hope its not. I think its ugle. What I was wondering is it possible that Koerner might be disigning the new E and thats why there are a few thing that are similar?( oh also hes been in the fan film Star Trek: Hidden Frontier) The last thing I can find him listed as doing is Battlestar Galactica, but there pretty much done as far as filming goes.

  • Fake!

  • oh P.S. Phaser fire is more or less instantaneous isn't it? I hate to nit pick but you know thats exactly what all the star trek fans would do. Just a taste of what is to come in this comment section, you have been warned :P

  • I like the look of the ship, the phaser fire seems a little bit too "warcrafty" for my liking and they should lose the "rushing through the air" sound... especially since space has none. Just a nice deep subwoofer workout hum should suffice. There is my two cents worth. Now here is my dollar bill... IS THIS REAL? No offence but it looks like some crazed fan job. It looks too much like the work for the NX-01 in Enterprise, almost the same 3D modelling technique. shame :(

  • Is this for real. If it is she looks better than the remastered shows that are on right now.

  • Once again! This IS NOT! I repeat: IS NOT the Enterprise from the fourth coming movie!

    Now get over it!
