i've thought it out, and if you get blink with stalkers and fight a zerg unit, would it be better to use the zerg's speed advantage against them and blink past them, not letting them hit and then surround, or would it be better to play the zergs strategy against them and blink into the units trapping them into a circle..
hold shift and select the next weakened stalker, so you have two stalkers selected, and pull both back. This makes sure that they dont just switch back to your weakened one, because you are pulling all the weak ones back rather than one.
hey trebis awesome vids btw i actually watched a lot of these before playing and it really helped :D sorry if you already mention this, do you personally use Grid system keys or standard? I've just switched to grid hotkeys after a friend suggested to me and it seems like quite THE required thing for any player to get better. anyhow, great vids.
1. If you devide your army into an ark or into groups in the battle you will always have somewhere to move to unless there is alot of zerglings/broodlings in the mix of enemys.
2. In this case since the stalkers were pulled back close enough they walked themselfs back to battle i think.
3. For all who say that you can't do this practice makes perfect take on some medium computers and build your skill level then try it against hard diff or a person.
Hay! I do have a question for you...Why is it that in the Terran campaign, I have access to the combat medic, but my multilayer online does not have access to it?
@GypsySockz because those units are just there for flavor they are not in multi player because 1. it be harder to balance the races 2.since this game focuses on Terran we only see their flavor units if we included those in multi player the other races would have way less units. 3. many of the units like the medit and firebat we replaced by better counter parts anyways medivac and marauder/helion.
@bzalka23 With Stalkers, you just blink away at max range (even better if you blink onto high ground). With everything else, I just run my ass off or let the ranged unit farthest away from the melee attackers take a few extra cheap shots. If retreat is not an option due to a speed discrepancy (esp. Speedlings against, say... Marauders) then find a wall, cliff, ledge, etc. and use it to cover your rear and avoid less of a surround.
@bzalka23 most units cant shoot while moving, take a zealot an roach. run the zealot away, the roach will get maybe 2 hits on it while running but after that it wont be able to shoot it
@bzalka23 Why would you engage a ranged unit with only melee unit? The only exceptions really being Zerglings+Banelings because your not going to be doing a whole lot of running away. Also the big reason why this works is because when you run out of the range of the other units the enemy AI will stop auto targeting the injured unit. Good Players will often target really weak targets any way but it still helps especially if you have two rows of units in the engagement.
@TheNickster1212 Do you really think so? Maybe it is and im looking too much into it, but today I was having a really hard time moving my Vikings and Banshees around, while Im usually quite good at ground unit mirco.
tell me where u got this unit tester plzx

REAL MICRO....
select weak stalker, pull back, then send him in

@Squirif11 actual micro...
using blink.
IIbikerII 11 months ago
@IIbikerII Blink micro can only apply to stalkers, and only while they have the blink upgrade.
This micro can apply to anything.

@bzalka23 pull em back earlier to compensate for the fact that they will be taking damage as they fall back.
