  • hard to tell, rally drivers are better at terrains, formula one drivers are better at physical fitness

  • clearly not a rookie of F1 cars, he proves fast and steady , both on brains and speed.Good driving skills.

  • would of been epic to see him in formula 1! Best drivers formula 1 or WRC....id say WRC

  • he's 1 of the best rally driver but he's not faster than vettel in f1...but i'd love to see him in formula 1 and drive red bull!!

  • @dumbman2006 I'd actually love to see some of the F1 drivers driving rally :)

  • I bet he will be able to handle that F1 Car allot better when going sideways thru a corner than a official F1 Driver :D

  • This guy is fast in just about anything...if it has wheels, he can be champion at it

  • Michael Schumacher being a perfect example? HE is not Bloodthirsty like LOEB IS, I wish opportunities will open up for Loeb and you will see my dear friend Mr.Loeb will surprise you all!!! He gave up his World rally car for an F1 is he dumb at this point or does he really think he can takes on Hamilton and whoever thinks is good enough.

  • @TerminatorSony Schumacher not bloodthirsty? Schumacher is one of the hardest and most ruthless competitors in the history of motorsport....

  • @c0nv1ct1337 your dead right

  • He seems very downearth and humble for being a millionaire, talented and, some would say, attractive person.

  • Loeb a le mérite de s'être fait tout seul ! Prost Schumi Sordo Senna et bien d'autre ont débuter très tôt sur kart. Seb n'a pas eu cette opportunité !

  • et ouai c'est un francais !!!!! lol

  • This guy is so good but sadly I don't he's really interested in F1 and I don't think I blame him.

  • Loeb = The most succesfull driver ever lived ! Better than the best !

  • shame he was not issued with the super licence

  • Not only the best driver in the world, but a gentleman at that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • everytime I watch wrc i get pumped up but when i watch f1 i cant even sit straight

  • Beautiful sound

  • Loeb would make an excellent F1 driver, not only has he set very good lap times in the RB4 but also finished 2nd in the Le Mans 24h race for Peugot and won the Race of Champions multiple times. You know besides from being the greatest rally driver of all time with his currently 6th consecutive (nearly 7th) world champion title.

  • OMfG what are you all arguing about? Rally guy beating F1 guys no way now can you get those F1 guys to beat him on rally circuit? I don't think so. Some of you guys are so dumb. But I'm sure with little practice on both side they can become pretty competitive the are all talented drivers.

  • Grande Loeb!

  • he wasnt the slowest he was quicker than ten off the 20 drivers which is nothing to be scoffed at

  • Of course he's much slower than the usual F1 guys. whats there to argue about? he hasnt done any tests before and he couldnt possibly have beaten them...

  • I would tend to agree with rdtli, with one exception. Valentino Rossi....any guy who races on 2 wheels (soon to be 7 time world champ) and can finish in the top 10 in a WRC event using a non-works car....and also test F1 and be within a second of Schumie's time. That is a monster.....and probably the fastest man alive.

  • two words: John Surtees

  • @monaro632

Yeah, so far he is the only driver to be champion both on 2 wheels and 4. Although I would argue Surtees was a better motorcycle rider. His 1964 title in F1 was a bit lucky too.

  • @McLarenMercedes Nevertheless, he did win it and in a Ferrari!

Loeb's chance of ever making an F1 start is gone, he's 36 and though still capable of world titles, is too old for any F1 outfit to seriously consider taking on as a rookie, as by the time he had acquired any meaningful expierience he would be beginning to gradually lose his speed

  • @monaro632 Lose his speed? what are you a FreakShow Race car driver never lose it speed it's all about how bad you really want to WIN the race. You and only you can decide if you want to push this F1 to the limit and take all the risks.

  • @TerminatorSony Dude ive been a racing driver for many years now and yes as you age and your reaction speed and reflexes begin to drop off a little you do lose some speed, its only natural and you cant avoid it, there is a massive difference between just driving an F1 car and actually RACING it, and thats where it will show, Michael Schumacher being a perfect example

  • It a good jump for Loeb's career to go to F1 as it is rumoured he is going to the RedBull F1 Team after this WRC season, but I will miss him in Rally. I don't blame him for wanting to try something new as he has done everything possible in the WRC. Read his Bio, he has been a winner all his life, not just in Rally.

  • Loeb is not going to be in F1, he himself has ruled it out, also in a GP2 test he was easily the slowest

  • I hop you are right. I much prefer him in Rally anyway. As I said it is rumoured so I didn't know if it was true or not. Lets hope not.

  • its officially not going to happen as the FIA have refused to issue him a superlicence, without it a driver cannot compete in F1

  • You are right, I just read the article. Well, that settles that. I look forward to seeing him in the WRC in seasons to come.

  • He had the worst car... Therefore, obviously he was the slowest...

  • no it wasnt the worst car by a long way, the DPR team's other driver was over 1.6 seconds faster than Loeb on the same day in the same car

  • go loeb!!!

  • LOEB ...THE FASTEST MAN ON EARTH

  • in rally.

  • no mate..... in every kind of motorsport.... the rally world champion is the fastest on earth ..... and loeb is the most complete driver ever,.... even more than senna... and schumacher... or clark..... the WRC is the most demanding motorsport on earth ... the most technical ... so loeb is a fuckin monster... period

  • @rdtli

To me Sebastian Loeb is the Rocky Marciano of wrc. Marciano beat Joe Louis who way past his prime, and defended his boxing title in an era which most believe was void of any top class challengers. As Marciano retired a whole new batch of great champions arrived. The 60's and 70's were way tougher.

In the 90's WRC had plenty of competitive manafacturers, and top drivers like Sainz, Kankkunen, McRae, Makinen, Auriol and Burns.

Since the 70's has Ford ever produced a top car in WRC?

  • @rdtli

Markku Alen won 796 stages (still the record) in 129 starts. Loeb has 725 stage wins in 136 starts.

Now, Alen raced in from the 70's to the 90's and won with RWD cars, mid-engined Lancias, Group B monsters, 4WD WRC etc. That diversity over that extended period of time, means a heck of lot more than a guy who only ever raced for the same dominant manafacturer (with Ford as the only competition) in an era with little opposition.

Put Loeb in a Ford and see what he'll achieve.

  • @McLarenMercedes that s the same question evrybody used to do when valentino raced for honda...and of course it s a true question and you re right ...but i think loeb will be the best in any kind of machine he would be given to drive...about the diversity you re right too ...but ...you have to consider that there are other drivers that heve the same ´´easy´´ way to achieve the numbers loeb achieve till now and did not make it...if you compare ´´eras´´ you will probably will be misunderstood ..

  • @McLarenMercedes - I think Loeb would still win in a Ford. And with Hirvonen, Latvala, Ogier and now Peter Solberg making a comeback, he has some good competition. And in his early days in the wrc, you still had Subaru, Mitsubishi and Peugeot which were also very good cars. It's a shame to see there gone now though.

  • @McLarenMercedes In that period a rally have a lot more SS than now. I respect Markku Allen, but the world titles and percentage of wins/starts tell us another story.

  • @rdtli Nope, that would be Vettel lol.

  • ari vatanen is the best forever!!

  • Just gotta love those engine "screams".

  • Roars and Screams=Win Buzzing one=Lose God i hate those Loud buzz from people who think they can tune a car with a mufler.

  • que se vayan preparando alonso , hamilton y compañia............

    el puto amo

  • io la notte non prego dio... io prego LUI

  • maybe he should go to f1 coz dominating rally so bad :P

  • Now, that's what I call a PRESENT! :)

  • Loeb is a god behind the wheel. You can tell he's a rally driver by his racing lines.

  • @ZacAE86 you can tell hes a rally driver because he is one.

  • @ZacAE86

    What?

Racing lines are almost universally the same. Outside-inside(apex)-outside. This does not distinguish him from any other race car driver whether it is F1, rally, DTM, autcross, or gokart.

  • sebastian loeb is the best!! >:D

  • Colin Mcrae has also droven a Jordan back in 1996

  • Heeellllo.Thanks 4 channel video.

    !!!THIS IS 4 YOU!!!

  • bravo seb cinq fois champion

a quand un tour ensemble ?

  • Audio is amazing in this.

  • I think he should make the swap. There's nothing left for him in WRC.

  • I saw Loeb over my land, here in argentina. He's an amazing! driver!

  • LIVIN´ LEGEND!!!!!!!!!

    thank´s for the video!

  • Great video, thanks so much!

One thing is for certain: Loeb would transition to F1 better than Hamilton would transition to WRC.

  • Driving a WRC car requires a totally different approach...

  • Exactly. That's my point.

  • No I think your 'point' was just another attack on Lewis Hamilton, seeing as how you singled him out. I don't think any F1 driver (bar Kimi, Mika, and Heikki) could easily make the jump to Rally Racing.

  • Wow, easily excited?

I'm not an F1 fan. I don't follow the sport closely.

My point was that it'd be easier for the best driver in WRC to move to a sealed surface series like F1 than it would for the best driver in F1 to succeed in WRC, especially because current WRC drivers already spend 4-5 weekends a season driving on competitive tarmac.

  • well, I apologize if I came of that way, but everytime Lewis Hamilton's name is mentioned it is either positive or negative (with negative remarks being unfairly racial a lot of the time). But there is a rumor that Kimi Raikkonen (the 2007 F1 champ), may be looking to jump into WRC after he is done with F1, and Finnish drivers seem to be the best at the sport (from what I understand).

  • We'd welcome Kimi into WRC with open arms.

Traditionally, Finns do dominate WRC. The last 5 years have been anomalies as Loeb has completely obliterated the competition, but Scandinavian drivers are always represented in the top 5 every season.

  • well, I think every form of motorsport sees someone take over despite it being out of the ordinary. Usually, English drivers dominate F1 but Michael Schumacher (GERMANY) won the championship 5 times in a row. I'm glad we were able to have this discussion without conflict, as that seems to be how most people feel on youtube.

  • Ha. Too true. It's because most people aren't what I would describe as civilized. :-)

  • thanks for the video dingo

  • aged and experienced driver we have a lot of dumbs in f1 nowadays that seb could beat very easy , even been 34 y as he is , hug , rodrigo tarpinian ,sao paulo brasil

  • yea you're right

look at schumacher , he was the oldest one and still had one of the best physical condition by far , age doesn't really matter i think , maybe once u get past 40-45 you might to start lose a bit of reaction time and so on

  • agree dude ... but you answered to the wrong guy mate ... cheers from brasil !!!

  • Wow there is his name on the car!

Will he really have the chance to swap to F1?

  • lol...it's loeb...that man could swap to any kind of racing, even NASCAR, and do well.

  • the man was born to drive , agree

  • i'd say the same for Rossi and Schumacher from what i've seen those two do in other froms of racing

  • nascar? lmao..

someone used to use a wheel, looping in nascar it would be so borinnnnggg..zzzzzZZZ for God Sakes

  • we from brazil and sport lover as i am , pray for this dude !! hug from brasil rodrigo d tarpinian

  • The "Schumacher" of the WRC .Maybe it would be interesting to see him in Formula 1, someday....What do you thinck about it ?

  • He is a war machine in WRC but not a genious in all kind of motor sports !

I think he shown his talents to the world in rallye and have to finish in this way, no to reconvert him.

And.. he isnt really young in front of the concurrence ! Then, which team will be going to choose this man..?

Signed : a french fan of our Seb' !!

  • come onmate ... the most complete driver of all time is french ... fast ... concentrate ... in all kind of surface .. and a super simple person , and you from his land say a shit like this , come on faby ... he s more complete even than schumacher and senna .. there s no way to compare a wrc technique with a formula one racer .... wrc is by far more challenging and more complex ,,, seb is the best of all time.... cheers dude , from brasil - sao paulo

  • I agree on somethings but its hard to compare its not the same type of driving and one is physicly more demanding in some aspects but i think F1 correct me if im wrong i think F1 is harder mentally. Also did you know most people cant do more then 2 laps on an average track with an F1? If you go too slow you dont have enough air passing inside the car and you overheat. haha i found it pretty amazing when i read that.

  • wtf how can you say that loeb himself in an interview said it was so much harder

  • he is way to old (34 i think)
