  • Pop music with unearthly classic beauty and I am proud to say of my generation

  • Catman916, thank you for uploading this terrific song from 1968, written by "Papa" John Phillips. It seems to be right in sync with the cultural cycle we're presently in, in 2012. You might think of it as "recycling" — here we go again.

  • this song drives me sad...don´t know why!

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ como amo a este gran conjunto musical.,,,los escucho desde que tenía dieziseis años.me gustan muchoooooo, gracias por compartirlo,un abrazo a todos desde CHILE.

  • OOOOh! what a beautiful song!

  • awwww i love the picture of mama cass at 1.55 :) she looks amazing!

  • I loved how it was crossfaded with Right Somebody To Love at the start!

  • @Colin0513 Yes, on the album the end of one blends into the beginning of the other.

  • @catman916 Yes and when I 1st heard it when I was about 11 or 12,it blew my mind.

  • This is an incredible track. I still think it's their best single ever. Stunningly beautiful.

  • this song often makes me want to cry.

  • @Jeffrywith1e It's lovely!!!!!!

  • one of my many favs by them so Relevant today

  • Paul..they could sing!!!!!

  • umm, Michelle, when you join back up with the others in heaven, tell them thank you for me please... and don't forget to pat yourself on the back too. For me, this song stands above all of the others, perhaps because it expresses, in such a poignant manner, both the agony and the ecstasy of our time. From the riots on Sunset until just a second ago, y'all's music has continued to bring me fresh insights and new ideas for how to cope... y'all make me cry happy... peace!

  • @redtailspirit It really does capture the feelings of the time.

  • @catman916 In moments of clarity, I see Romans, I see Nazis, I see the Ku Klux Klan, I see all of the obstacles that we, as people, have overcome to be at this place and at this time... and I would ask of my brothers and sisters in spirit, do we give up now? or do we press on and realize the world that has been dreamed of for thousands of years? Every one of us holds in the palm of their hand the answer to that question... do we go back? or do we go forward? do we regress? or do we progress? 2U

  • @catman916 Of all times..these times especially...

  • @redtailspirit This song captures so much at once...the pain of it all...the hope of it all...John Phillips suffered inside to achieve the vision to write this song...Love you John...Rest in Peace..
