How difficult is it for artists to understand that a sketchbook is a place where you place your thoughts, doodles and playful observation. This is an installation. It kills dialogue.

why is it so difficult for you to understand that artists do what they want - what they love. i think this idea of henderson is great to see the sketchbook from a different perspective. be youself! just because of the name "sketchbook" you dont need to think in this simple context. sometimes sketchbooks can be more.

i thought this was quite great actually the excecution might have been easy but its the idea that counts. somehow, was that string thing in the middle waiting to be pulled to expose something? i really wonder.

maybe a good idea would have been to write itty notes and things in the little scrolls. something more needs to be added, for this to function as a moleskine. otherwise i see no appeal in this particular creation.

Pay $10 to $20 for a Moleskine and you use it like that. Seems like a waste of money to me. It would be better in my opinion to just buy a book for 50 cents at a yard sale and do this to. Maybe then, if its a picture book, it'll also have some color.

i am a graphics major i kinda see where you are going this but i think it's too much plus i was waiting for someone to open it  so i was expecting more from this but i was kinda disappointed_what was this for? i would read this better as a piece for sculpture_please help me understand
