  • SMASHING vocal facility and beautiful timbre above everything about this performance. I`m of the same fach and, believe me, those thrilling coloraturas, though not very eleborate, are very difficult! Graham is my hero here :)

  • Listen to EULA BEAL, NINON VALLIN

  • SUPERBE

  • Demais, muito amoroso!

  • i love mezzo-soprano ^^

  • Hm, I didn't think I was a big fan of mezzo-soprano voices, but she sounds great! Yes, I am an opera newbie... XD;

  • It's so good when you actually get to hear a great singer singing great music.

  • The best ever mezzo- soprano singer is Sharon den Adel.

  • yes yes yes xD

  • Amy Lee and Britney Spears too

  • How can you even think of these two when having the same thought of SUSAN GRAHAM???!!!!! Ridiculous!

  • then watch videos of her, don't post stupid bullshit like that on this video. really, what was the point of that?

  • Susan is good, but after so much enthusiasm, I'd rather not make comparisons, which are on the tip of my tongue

  • Heard a lady on the radio singing this the other day, and she was pretty good, but in comparison to Susan, she was terrible.

    I love Susan Graham!

  • This is probably one of my favorite pieces. And Susan Graham does it just beautifully. ^^

  • Susan Graham has a special talent that make singers great. I know it's kind of cliche, but it's really true: She makes it her own. She takes (especially) lyric roles and adds her own warmth and charm to it. She has established this technique where she moves her mouth downward, and she has developed it so well!

  • well...of course she takes lyric roles...she is a lyrical mezzo...

  • What I meant is that she especially adds her beautiful warmth and technique to her lyric roles.

  • Susan Graham is an amazing singer, and possibly my favorite mezzo of all time. I wish I had such a beautiful sound.

  • Wow. I never imagined Susan Graham in a part like this, but she does it beautifully! I really like her embellishments; they're really original. :)

  • This is so beautiful! I think this aria is harder than "smanie". It's so rare to hear it sung with such grace and delicacy.

  • I agree. Most people find the coloratura lines of a BEl Canto opera to be daunting, as they should be. But I bet you most coloratura mezzos shiver when hearing of doing lyric roles such as this. It's difficult to have such wonderful lyricisim. You are truly talented if you can do both - and well.

  • Is Susan graham really tall, or is Despina really short?

  • Susan Graham is really tall;she mentioned she's nearly 6 feet tall.Great singing from a great lady!

  • @Kbritt7 Susan Graham is actually one of the tallest women in Operaworld !

  • dumb question: what do the words mean?

  • ... Love is a flighty thief ... and so on and so forth, to give herself an excuse to be a flighty lover and take up with the new suitor instead.

  • susan graham = awesome!

  • SUSAN GRAHAM is the best dorabella and greatful mezzo soprano.she is my idol and I hope I can watch her as dorabella one day on the stage.SHE İS NUMBER 1

  • I LOVE Susan Graham's voice! She's so fantastic in this - i wish i owned a recording! Merci MUEZZAB :)

  • Susan Graham is amazing! She is my favorite and the best Dorabella I have ever heard or seen.
