  • Grandmother and Granddaugher....

  • Thank you very much for the lively interview of the Carnatic Musical Legendary Vocal Exponent, vidhushi Dr sow.D.K.Pattammal with the Carnatic Musical Vocal Exponent, vidhushi sow.Nithyasree Mahadevan. Govinda Radhe, Gopala Radhe.

  • What a blessing!

    Very gratefully,

    Sundara-Rajan

    Norman, Oklahoma

  • Oh My God... That filled tears in my ears... At the end she says struggling to control her emotions...

"I have only one desire... I should be able to sing till my last moment...."

Amma... I dont have words to express my feelings....!! Love you a lot....!!

  • what ragam is this

  • i dont know the meaning of the song what she is singing but i can say that she is legend........

  • got to meet both MS amma and Pattammal mami...i feel fortunate

  • Yes, I too can match her with my grandma. Like DKP, she could not tolerate any one's pain and wanted even enemies to only change and not hurt them. I assume the ladies of that generation were all like that?

Shaanthi nilava vEndum ! wow! If there is a God this is nothing but the God's voice... Politicians/religious leaders listen to this .. listen to the heart..

  • i'm all tears...i have seen singers pray for people...she prays for our country....we should realise how much our patriots have struggled for independence and must do off with malpractice...

  • DKP is truly a great singer, patriotic indian and supporter of India's Freedom Struggle - She rightly deserved to be given India Highest Honour " BHARAT RATNA" - Hope Government of India take note of this feelings

  • My god she is squeezing my spirit............Love you paatima!!!!!

  • so sad! i used to watch this video like whenever i was stressed, cause she reminds me of my paati! and now she's gone too! may she rest in pease though

  • Who is the man in the photo in the background?

  • Ramana Maharshi

  • @FascistFashion I think it's Ramana Maharshi. Pattammal believed she was able to sing because when she was a baby, Ramana Maharshi had put two drops of honey in her throat.

  • "kadasiyil muchi irundavarakkum naan paadanum" .. it made me almost cry when she said that .... thats called dedication at its peak .... may her soul rest in peace

  • Wonderful! She speaks like my patti . So natural.

    wonderful posting.

    THANks a lot

  • end of the era... gana saraswati ... rest in peace..

  • I am sure your asai [asha] was fulfilled Pati...rest in peace. You were an amazing musician...

  • She was on of the Trinities of Carnatic music. Truly a legend... God bless...
