Trade war with China is a very bad bad bad idea. They can cash in their tresuries. They can sustain their own economy simply by making their middle class larger than ours. They would take a hit in doing this, but in the long run THEY DON"T NEED US. If we default on our debt this whole world will spiral down, with China and Asia being relatively insulated in comparison with the rest of the world. Not to say they won't have trevails, but we will be completely done. We were Greece, China is Rome.

@jsmythib true but all in all the US economy will get better after shutting down trade with china, it is going to increase prices of goods but it will relocate US manufactures back to the US and create jobs back were they belong. Jobs in turn will see a increase in salaries as cost of living will increase, manufactures might not see big profit as they did with china but it will balance the US purchase power and economy especially wen in fact US is much more advance in technology then china.
