@slcldsprovo I still have it and still use it. The computer is still powerful enough to run the games that I play at full power. I recently played portal 2 on it without problems. I have had it since the summer of 2007.

I'm starting to wonder why people play shooters on pc's. I'm not trying to start a flame war, but it just seems clunky, but that's just my opinion. RTS's, MMO's, maybe even RPG's are definitely better on the pc, but shooters and action/adventure seems better on consoles.

if you're planning to buy a gaming pc, buy the i7-920 (most recent from Intel) processors and you can overclock it with a good motherboard like EVGA or Asus.

Probably on a 19-22 inch screen and you can get away with it because you can use a $200 cpu and a $300 graphics card with 500gb hdd 4gb ram and bam your good to go

you can get a i7 920 for 200 at microcenter and just buy a 100 dollar mobo with that, and get a ati 4870 and 6 gb of ram and other stuff, and run crysis on enthusiast settings and max reso with around 40 fps

what camera do you use. I was filming on 640-480 resolution. The game is playing at 40-60 fps. the camera is at 30 fps so the game and the camera are not in sync so it will skip frames.

Dude- don't worry it's not possible to play Crysis with his PC at that resolution, settings and FPS.

Nothing can really play Crysis at very high atm, appart from thew 260/280 GTXs which are pretty expensive.

yeah, when you record using a camera it can cause problems and look as if its lagging. But also, I think this is on high. I ordered my comp yesterday, and wil be adding a second 8800gt in a month or 2, finally I can play crysis.

You Should buy the new 8800gts (g92) or 8800gt OR run the 9600 on Sli... ;) believe me..I thought of this graphic card ,too...But...A 8800gt isn't much more expensive...But better...And reeeealllyyy much better on Sli (which will get cheaper the next months).. ;)

no it will not. everything is good except the graphics card. i used to have that same one. and it couldn't run anything. UT3 i had to run on lowest settings. if u have a high budget i prefer i high-end card. maybe even the 9600, if not. 8800gts. ull need a good graphics card.

Hmm...it also depends on what resolution you run Crysis on. With a single 8800 GTX, you should be able to run Crysis pretty well at 1600 x 1200, all high, no AA at a decent frame rate.. ~40 fps?

I dont understand what you mean by settings of my pc. Crysis is running on very high on every single item. the resolution is set at 1920 by 1200 and max frames is off.

I have a 2.66Ghz quad core, nvidia 8800 ultra 768 mb. 4 gigs of ram. asus striker extreme motherboard. vista 64 bit. how much ram do you hhhve? that would definatly cause it to lag more. The gtx is slower than the ultra. if you have more ram it should speed up your entire system because right now with just internet explorer open i a using 2942 mb of my four gigs. and in at 3% processor. when i took one stick out the processor was at 30-40% so the processor works faster with more ram.
